View Full Version : Style points for OU?

OU needs only to beat a ranked opponent on the road that UT squeaked by at home. This gives OU 5 victories over ranked opponents compared to UT's 3. No Big 3 team has a road victory over a currently ranked opponent. OU is the best team in the conference and top 3 in nation with Florida and USC.

If OU is thinking style points then they've already lost the game.

You just lost all the credibility you didn't have.

I quit reading after "USC". Well, that was the last word in that asinine post, but had it been the first, I would have quit reading there.

Eventually I'll learn to quit reading his posts at all. "d-train" is flagged on my laptop as an indicator of unjustified stupidity.

I have to do that with loony's post. I try and read only about 60% of his stuff. I can handle only so much stupidity in a day.

I thought this was going to be about that late OU TD. BTW, Tech could've scored late and didn't.

they give up over 60 points in their last two games.......Uh, excuse me, does everyone like the Emperor's new clothes?

I'm not even sure they belong in the top 10, much less the NC game.

here are the defensive points allowed going back to the RRS

Before this game, OU had given up 143 pts, since the RRS. 63 of those pts were after the game had been decided, ie.. when it was 52-14 in the late 3rd, early 4th qtr... or 66-14 at the end of the 3rd qtr. It's not like OU has been in shootouts, other than vs OSU/UT, all season long. They've pretty much played 3 qtrs of several games with their 1st team, all season long.

And they have an unbelievable scoring offense.

you are right, they have a great offense.

As for the points allowed, fact remains that they did in give them up. No matter at what point in the game(s).

61-41? 41 is..alot of points. They were hanging with them well, and I think OU really pulled that one out of their ***. Tipped balls just so happen to land in receivers hands? Fumbled 4th and Goal snaps put down the middle for a touchdown on a pinch blitz? I think this is the work of the Anti-Christ...
