State Championship at Texas Stadium ??

i just moved to the DFW area..just kinda curious on what are the chances of a state title game or games being played at texas stadium..look at the brackets..always wanted to see a state title game , thank you

Carroll played SV there last year in the D-2 title game...

there are on average 1-3 state championships at ts every year. since there are 12 state champs, it isn't unlikely.

I can't imagine having the title games spread out all over Gods country. In Louisiana, we have them all at the same place...At the same time. 10 teams on the field at once.. Big fun...
Kidding.. We do have them all at the same place. Usually the Superdome. Not this year. This year, they are all gonna be played at Independance Stadium in Shreveport. Thurs: 4A, Friday: 2 and 3A, Sat: 1 and 5A.
But we also only have the 5 games..


I would think they would pick a place and do 4A on Friday and 5A on Saturday. 2 games each day. Have ticket prices (for numbers only) like 10 per game or 25 for all of them. Something along those lines...
That gives me an idea. I need to figure out how I can be in charge of things like this for the UIL. Get this mess fixed. What they need in there is a chubby moron from another state that knows pretty much nothing about football here in Texas to tell them how things outta be.

at one time they were talking about having games at one location and televising them. Haven't heard anything on this in a while.

I believe it's agreed upon by the two coaches. Gotta find some place that is at least semi-neutral. Or they could flip and go home/home.

Personally, I'd rather see the 5A title games in Reliant. Nice park, clean and new. Texslum Stadium is an absolute filthy pit. At least the turf is nice.

I agree, Texas Stadium is nasty and cramped etc. etc. What will they do with the property once the new stadium is built? Go Dawgs

We played IKE in the opener this season and Katy in the opener last season at Reliant. I really like that place. Easy in/out, lots of parking, clean and new. Roof optional.

There are 4 scenarios for the Div I championship... (likely stadiums?)

1. Houston versus DFW (Kyle Field would be a nice spot)

2. Houston versus College Station (Reliant would be great for both teams)

3. San Antonio versus DFW (this one is hard. Kyle or UT-Austin?)

4. San Antonio versus College Station. (UT Austin makes the most sense)


There are too many scenarios still for Div II.
