The turf was an issue for the Tigers at Badger. They have since installed the same product at Rhodes and they are used to it now. I don't think there is any reason not to choose it as a site now.

It might be a good idea to promote the idea by hitting them with email from other fans.

It would be a nice draw for the SV fans. Rice Stadium would probably be the other choice.

I actually had forgotten about this. Last time, we just sat outside in the sun around the 2 door garage-sized locker rooms.

I attended the SV-San Marcos game this year and there seemed to be enough room in the locker room for the 80 guys on varsity. I only noticed the 40 or so JV guys outside in the sun. Some of the players told me that they have remodeled the dressing areas in the last few years.

Thats the truth,when SV played SM in the 1st rnd. it looked like SV was having a picnic over at the dressing room.There was about half the team hanging out,while the other half was inside,what a joke!I dont see how this can be,with this being a university football stadium.I remember going to many san Antonio Texans football games at Bobcat,I bet the visiting pro teams really loved the crampness.I remember Jim Valvano on the sidelines for ESPN doing some color commentating.That kinda shows you how weak the USFL was,by having games at bobcat stadium.But,it`s not bad for a homefield advantage!!;) :D

Its a problem, but SV had to use it this year. The coaches had to have their meeting outside, but everyone (except JV kids) fit. I dont think Katy has that many more. However, was it comfortable? no... but everything else at Texas State makes up for this IMO. Field, stands, concession, restrooms, parking, etc.

Katy prefers Tully (obviously since that's the one they designated for the home/home flip). The Tigers have had a lot of playoff success there over the years and the capacity is larger than Rhodes.

I would assume SV really doesn't care, since I am not sure they have played at either on and they have to travel to Houston regardless (if they win).

Katy suits 110 players so the locker rooms are a big problem. I really don't know how a school like Texas State doesn't address the issue. Tully is my favorite stadium. If that matchup happens it will be packed and rockin'.

I think Reliant would be my last choice... too loud in the bad way... Always a buzz in the background... never really liked it... Now, for indoor, the Alamodome was very nice... Outdoor, I also like Tully and maybe Pridgeon (sp)... But like you say... Wherever the RED goes, works for me!

i have seen them and i believe that. saw them against cy creek. they were awsome in that game. the defense and special teams did alot of the scoring. just tremendous. but i have heard smithson valley is just as talented, fast, strong, big and disciplined. might be a tough game for katy.

I don't understand Tully being the choice for SV and Katy if they do meet in the semi finals. There is no way Tully would hold all of the fans from both teams. Katy had just about all of it's side full when they played Creek in RD 2 and I know the crowd would be bigger for the semi finals. Also, SV will bring just as many fans as Katy. Just don't think it will hold everyone.

I'm not sure about that nate I was there and really couldnt tell it looked pretty even but even if that was the case it wasnt by much...... SV does bing a crowd especially at BOBCAT its like 45 minutes away from SV.

It was a play on words. SV is in Springbranch right? Tully stadium belongs to Springbranch ISD. Houston Memorial, Spring Woods, and Stratford play their home games from District 185a at Tully and belong to the Spring Branch ISD.

Cy Falls doesn't have much of a chance against Katy, but at best SV is a touchdown favorite over SA Madison. i hope that was sarcasm b/c sv would be the underdog 2 katy but not by much sv has amazin coaches and some talent but katy has more talent and great coaches. toss up game

Don't over look SV ex if we get the opportunity to play yall again. Sv plays extremly similar ball to yall guys. You may have the best team in Katy history but were pretty.................good? I'll have to agree. I think that it would be a great matchup of 2 great balanced teams. Both teams are equaly impressive at passing and rushing, as well as playing defense. I'll have to say that I am not imediatley familiar with every aspect of this years Katy squad, but their reputation precedes them, and from that I gather that they are a great team as always. I'll have to say that as an SV fan I had no idea that they would knock off Katy in the '02 semi's. I was at the game and it is easily one of the greatest HS football games I have aver attented. With that said, that was the last time that I ever doubted them again. Just look at last years state game. It took SLC the last 4 seconds of the game to beat SV; and they are sopposed to be one of the best teams in the state, as well as the nation. But don't get me wrong; SLC is a great team with an excellent coaching staff. All I'm saying is that both Katy and SV are both backed by phenomenal coaching, so I think it would be unfair to say that one team is more disciplined than the other. Personally, I think that SV's Larry Hill is a genious. He knows how to consistantly make a winning team, its just sad that he's come so far and never won a state title. Hopefully that will change soon. But like its already been stated: if and when this matchup takes place I think it will be one heck of a football game. I think that the key to victory for either team will rest not only in the players' game on the field. but by the gameplan of both coaches. I think that both teams are going to have their hands full either way. Even though I will be rooting for my team (SV), I hope that whoever wins, marches down to state and puts SLC in their place. I'd love the idea of Lufkin taking them out early, but I don't think that will happen. Lufkin always seems to give SLC a hard time, but they always manage to come back at the end. I'll take a balanced football team with a solid defense over that cheap spread offense that SLC runs anyday. A solid D is all it will take to shut down SLC's offense anyway, and SV and Katy seem to have that in Spades.
