The ratings predictions went 111-25 this week making them 316-66 overall after two weeks. Games with predicted spreads of 28+ are 57-2, spreads of 14-28 are 129-14, spreads of 7-14 are 66-19, and spreads under 7 are 64-31. Obviously the number of games with larger predicted margins will be going down each week.

I haven't been breaking out the 5A predictions, though.

Only games against rated teams are considered. So the missing win for Trinity is their game against John Curtis from Louisiana.

Now I'm really confused as it has Allen 10-1 and with last nights game it they are 11-1 but I see what you said to the Trinity folks? I see Plano 10-2 but they are only 7-2 against rated teams? So whats the real scope?

Why are you still ranking teams that are not in the playoffs?

Now I'm confused, too. Allen is 10-1 because their game against Monterrey Tech isn't used. Plano is 10-2 and all their games were against rated teams.

Why are you still ranking teams that are not in the playoffs?
Because they were part of the season. Taking them out doesn't make much sense.

They are rating teams not still in the playoffs--including the team we beat in bi-district (SA Roosevelt) above us. Guess the fact that the game wasn't close doesn't enter into the computer other than very marginally.

EXACTLY -- that is why I was asking about this.

So your defination of a rated team is a texas team? Not ranked teams, whether state, national or other?

Rated teams = teams in the ratings.
