Wow! Welcome to playing a real team in a real situation with pressure!

In the end hopefully things we fall into place and the best 2 teams in the country will be playing for the BCS title.

Those two teams are Florida and OU.

JMSfan has been sore ever since they went down in Lubbock. I don't care if he likes Tech or not.

I don't care how popular Tech is with everyone.

Truth be told, for the past 2-3 weeks, the media's been on Tech's jock, and it felt good to finally get some pub for the good things that happen on the South Plains. What i find ridiculous is how people say Tech finally met a challenge... in the best conference in the country, in the 11th game of the season... OK...

Tech has to beat Baylor and see where the chips fall. The Red Raiders are obviously not in control of their destiny now. The Sooners have it, and their ownership of that is undisputed.

As a Tech fan I have never sought affirmation from the UT fans and Ags that try to "little brother" us. I really don't give a rip. I do want us to get our due recognition as a whole, and I think that has definitely happened in the past few years. When you do well, people notice. OU noticed, and that's why they were prepared for a freaking war last night. tech didn't hold a candle to their intensity. I think OU respects Tech way more than A&M and UT do. It sure reflected in the way OU approached the game.

Great post!

TT has a great program, but left their heart in Lubbock and failed to wake up after a week off. It happens to a lot of teams. It could very well happen to OU if they have too much of an emotional letdown next week in Pickensville, or I guess people will be coming on here crying that "they suck" too.

I wish the best to whoever ends up being the Big 12 champ. I'm not convinced that any of them wants to go to Miami and face the SEC champ (probably Florida) in the title game. Big 12 faithful should unite and pull for Bama. That is the best shot you have for a title. TT and Bama would have been an AWESOME game.

I like TT. I think they have a class program, and at least they beat Texas:D

Obviously as a UT fan, I have absolutely no room to start pointing out Tech's flaws as though they were any more important than Texas'. Even if we had beaten Tech in Lubbock, I still wouldn't be able to say that Tech sucks. They don't, they simply lost the focus and intensity that had driven them to 10-0. I am a little shocked that UT-Norman got away with such a massacre, but the fact remains that neither UT nor aggy fans can tell Tech they suck. And even if they could, they shouldn't.

slorch - I know what you mean about the disrespect. I admit that even I look down on Tech a lot, which comes from a complacency that almost all Texas fans have after the last decade of being a powerhouse. It took about 2 weeks for it to happen, but Tech finally won my respect (it took me about that long to get over the heartbreaker in Lubbock) and despite this loss they still have it. Even aggy has my respect now - they've put us to shame twice in a row. Although I look forward to not respecting them anymore come Thanksgiving. :D

Tech would have destroyed Bama. As would Mobilhoma, Texas, and probably even Missouri. The ideal title game - for viewing purposes more than anything - will be a Big 12 South offense taking on Florida.

I still believe we were the only team this year that was capable of beating OU in Norman. I did not know the team that showed up last night.

As a fan of Texas football, it was a downer to see Tech totally wimp out last night. Having no rooting interest in Tech, or UT, other than state pride, it was shameful.

Actually, I had left you alone about yesterdays game. Dont call me out like this, and expect me not to respond.
Since the Texas/TTU game, there have been countless threads about Tech and how great they are, threads about how great Leach, Harrell and Crabtree are, and how this was Tech's year to "win it all". All we heard about was how Leach and Ruffin were masterminds of the game and would go into Norman and win. Truth is, it wasnt even a respectable effort by Tech. OU pounded on them just as bad as they pounded every other team so far.

yep, and unlike you, I gave OU all the respect they deserve in the win.

You don't have to leave me alone. i can talk the game with anyone. It's just amazing how many pot shots you throw into your posts since the debacle in Lubbock. It was a loss. fair and square.

there's still about a billion different ways the chips may fall.
