congrats on the big win.. I am still trying to understand why El Paso wanted to play at TS.. I give their coaching staff a lot of credit for not crumbling to Summit after going down 28 - 0 but the decision to play here did not make much sense... good luck next week.

This game should have been in Midland, Odessa, San Antonio or even Lubbock. Most likely would've had the same result anyway.

I don't blame him. EP never gets to Round 3. This was their chance to play in Texas Stadium and they took it. It was a reward to their team and they weren't going to win even if they played in the Sun Bowl.

I know Franklin wanted to win, but I think the coach was looking to reward his team for extending their season further than they ever have in 5A.

They did just as bad as Grand Prairie, now GP vs. EP Franklin would be a more ideal matchup for Franklin.

This may or not be pertinent, but truth be told, El Paso is just chock full of Dallas Cowboys fans. I'd imagine that it was a pretty big treat for those kids to play there. Too bad the rest of the stadium that doens't have to do with the actual playing surface is an absolute pit. I'm a huge cowboys fan that can't wait until they build a new home.

It didn't help that we came into the stadium as Game 2 that day. I know Game 1 folks left trash everwhere, but I also wonder if they even cleaned the place up after the Cowboy game on Thanksgiving.

Texas Stadium... home of the $5.50 coke and lots of grime.
