They've been playing well in the playoffs. Trinity is looking strong today. They are better than anybody else so far in Trinity's way.

They got pretty soundly beaten 36-15 by a below average Austin Westlake team (below average compared to the success of past Westlake teams), Cove nipped them 21-14 and they barely got the wins against a (2-8) Waco team 29-25, a (4-6) Bryan team 9-6 and a (4-6) Belton team 17-10.

That's all true then they turned around and beat The Woodlands, Pville, and Berkner convincingly so seems they are on a roll!!

Westlake game was early in the season before they got their offense together....

All district games...Cove, Waco, Bryan, etc. are of course in 13-5A and every game is tough no matter who you play.

Yeah AMC totally lockdowned Berkner, and theyve beaten every foe that was picked to beat them in the playoffs. This is a dangerous team because it FEEDS off the underdog role , oh yeah and they're GOOD.

AMC is a well-coached team all-around and I think this could be a very good game. Trinity has been knocking on the door of a state championship in recent seasons, and we'll see if they can kick it down this time.

Played at Westlake and turned the ball over 5 times and were with thin 2 scores with the ball in the 4th qu and turned it over again and westlake threw the ball to run up the score. The coaches did not shake hands after that. Dominated Cove in every stat except turnovers and scoreboard. Cove did not make mistakes and so they won. They are a top team in the state. Waco has top 10 talent but bad aditudes, it is how Waco has ALWAYS been. Bryan is a HUGE rival game, throw out the record books. Bottom line... if this team does not turn the ball over they win. Been picked to lose every play-off game so far. Their distric...6-1 in the play-offs, and only loss was Harker Heights lossing to Lufkin in OT and Harker Heights should have won the game. Consol is always undersized and underrated, so its nothing new. Trinity is a great ball club and may control the whole game, but Trinity is still a top 5 or 10 team in the state to me, but give consol props....anyone still alive in the play-offs this deep, they are doing something right.

umm we prevent injuries. We take care of the players. We don't do equipment, we aren't managers. We are athletic trainers. When a player gets hurt we rehab them and get them back to full capablities ASAP. Guys think we don't do anything, but i'm positive they'd die without us.

We are behind the scenes, and during spring when each trainer gets a sport, like soccer, which I do, we basically do whatever the coach needs. I ran errands last year and everything.

We do a lot more than people expect!:)

The key role I see for student trainers is that they help keep the guys hydrated during practices and games. But, especially practices. I've noticed on many occasions where they insist that someone drink water. It's a lot more important than you think.

When i was playing HS ball, my coach was one of the Junction boys. I never knew that until they had that little round table interview on ESPN after the inital showing of the movie. Interviewed the surviving Junction boys. He was one of them.

That really explained a lot about his hardass attitude about everything, including water breaks. We got one per 2 or 3 hour practice. Now I know he just didn't know any better. Like to killed a couple of guys from dehydration.

Oh well, I digress. Trainers keep the players hydrated. They also wrap up ankles and wrists before game and practice once they get good enough to do it right.

Thanks Mr. Fitz!:) Our joke in the training room is we want the guys peeing clear. hahaha.
Standing around? why yeah, sure docs do a lot, but one day that's going to be us, and a lot of us do assist the trainers when someone gets hurt. We are "apprentices."

It's a much tougher role than you think, we are under pressure all the time, and staying on our toes all the time. For example, when our star RB got hurt, we all kinda felt pressured, because we felt as if we could've done something better, when really we couldn't.
Our Athletic training program is great for a 5A school, we have one of the highest budgets in 5A athletic training programs.
We are the first to arrive and last to leave.
We went through 2-a-days just like all the players. But we had to be there at 5:15 the guys...6. So we are pretty busy.
And unlike, most we DONT have an offseason, I start Girls soccer tomorrow. I haven't stopped this year. And I won't because I'll more than likely get moved into softball after soccer.

So Athletic Trainers do more than you think. Go without us for awhile, see how you like it. You won't.

Oh, man did they only win those games by such close margins...hmm....oh well....what does that mean? NOTHING.......13-5a has to be the best district this year. Cove and AMC both remain in the playoffs, and Heights had a good outing against a VERY VERY good lufkin team. Wacos no joke. They have great athletes who are off and on. They showed up against AMC, and they showed up against Cove(took cove 3 OTs to win). Beltons also a decent team. Their RB Quincy Daniels was close to 2000 yards. This guy is a beast, most teams in the state would have trouble stopping this kid..Bryan,,,Come on, this team is very good. Great WRs, and a talented defense.

If you look up and down 13-5a you will see a group of teams who can play with anyone in the state, with exception of SLC,SV,Katy, etc

ACM Tigers will have Trinity's tounges hanging out by halftime, Trinity's OL & DL looks like they could use some 100 yard wind sprints. They better bring their lunch and a lot of H2O its going to be a long day for them in Waco on Saturday. Trinity's backfield looks in good shape but can't be any better than Pflugerville's all-star backfield (3 Division 1 Recruits - Texas, Tx Tech & Baylor) or Copperas Cove and we shut both of them down. We held Cove's Offense to only had 80 yards for 3 1/2 qtrs.- Berkners run attack had 30total yds in the 2nd half last week. The Woodlands had less than 50yds. in the 2nd half until we put in our 2nd team defense the last 4 minutes of the game.
