its hard to say,,,Harker Heights lost a true star in Michael Shummard who went both ways last year,, lost tons of talent at the reciever positon, but they return a 2nd team all district QB a decent O-line 2 sophmores in the secondary, and return the starting RB

At first i thought the Knights lost to much to talent to even contend but after the spring game i think they will do alot like last year, either barely make the playoffs of barely miss them. Harker Heights was underrated in the breakdown of the division where they were not even mentioned, alot of people dont know that they beat Cedar Park and aTm consol last year.

I think the Harker Heights season depends on 2 rumored transfers from Alaska and from Iowa. From what i hear the guy from Alaska runs a 4.45 40 and is 6'3 with great hands. The Knights will need these two guys to fill in the holes at wideout since passing the ball is what coach Ross Rogers centers his offence around.

I think Harker Heights can go into the last week of the season tied with Waco and beat them at home to finish 3rd behind Cove and consol

That was a good one. Harker Heights has lost way too much to even be anywhere up top of the district. Shoemaker should have Harker Heights # this year.
I gotta give it to you....that last week in Waco last year was a good game. You guys lost way too much to replace.

We lost to much,,we lost B-jay simmons who is a bad team player got suspended for beating a girl had a better record without him last year, D. Jackson suspended for failing a drug test last year again better record without him, pleasure ellis hurt all last year, so basicly the only hurtfull losses were Shummard, Bass, Hoccut, Henning, and Sadanio

Who did they loose that they cant replace

Y'all were loaded last year with seniors...and finished 5th in 13-5A. I say you will be around that area again. You guys lost way too much. But who knows, as crazy as the district is...anything can happen.

ha,waco lost their ss, qb, punter, kicker, and return man, that simms(i think thats his name) was the great i think he was to big.

I still dont understand why you think Heights will be so bad, who did they loose besides the players i listed earlier????

Im telling you this Ronald kid from Alaska is the real deal (6-3 4.45-fourdy)

Waco will be just fine.....defense is always solid....offense will be better.........6ft 4in WR LeJerald Betters (won state in 200 meters and triple jump) along with two new QB's that are 6ft 3in and 6ft 5in......so we will be airing it out more. Offense should be better than last year with Simms (we couldn't pass because he was too short).......plus we return Ty Ivy at tailback.......don't worry about the kicker...we always get one of those from the soccer team. Troy Harbert is also back as returner and will play some at tailback also.

Thanks for the update on Waco I wasnt sure what they had going for them going into this year. But again who did Harker Heights lose that makes you think they will be so bad??

Boss Ross said last year that you guys were loaded and that it would be your best team ever. You see where you ended up in district. I honestly think the district this year is going to be stronger than last year. There really is no telling tho......Heights may sneak up on people just like Belton did their 2nd year in 5-A.

When did the Boss say it was the best team ever wouldnt that be the team with Zeigler, Jackson, McKillip etc.?

I'm sorry i have to break up you guy's little one on one conversation but dont worry Heights. Supercentex has done this and always will do this to every team except for waco, and when waco loses, it was because of injuries or poor officiating. :D

13-5a predictions
1. Cove (they will bounce back from last years debacle in round rock)
2. aTm Consol (going strickly by what KT2000 and ktchamp97 have said about them, because i know nothing about them)
3. Bryan (Artell Woods is the real deal, i look for him to be the district MVP now that their gunslinger qb is gone)

I see that you didn't pick Harker Heights. :)

For the past two years....Waco High has had Cove and A&M on the road........this year they are both in Waco.

I've said over and over it's going to be a toss up again. It's going to be out of aCm, Bryan, Waco, and Cove and possibly Killeen Shoemaker.

I did last year and a few years before that pick the correct playoff reps from the state. Last year I picked Bryan, Waco, and Cove.

What is going to hurt Bryan this year is losing QB Blake Joseph.

So rediculous, Harker Heights being picked behind Shoemaker. Like I seid before Shoemaker lost basicly their whole defense when Roy Miller left, Miller had i think 80 tackles and 40 for loss, rediculous stats. He clearly kept his team in games. Now without him they will have Keith Smith who is a very good QB and their ofense will likely win a few games but their lack of defense will not hold up against Heights Cove Waco and A&M
Now, Harker Heights return 4of5 key players on defense who will propel a much improved defense, a very good QB in Donnie Shorts, get a great WR who transfored from Alaska, a starting RB, and a decent O-line lead by Dustin Davis.
