I go to trinity and I cant even understand why not many trinity players get d-1 looks. not a single kid went d-1 last year. I think a couple kids like vittatoe and nance have a shot. What do you guys think?

That's because most of them have to go JUCO at Trinity and then they go D-1A two years later.

Frog, consider this a warning. No cheap shots are tolerated on this board. The next post we see from you like that will result in a ban.

Didnt mean for that to be cheap shot sorry it was taken as one. Just saying that they have kids that go D-1A , they just take a different route there like alot of kids at other schools do. There has been a ton of kids take the route (JUCO) and do very well getting to the higher levels of football.
I'm all for JUCO football and think its great for the kids. They get to keep playing football and get a scholarship to do it.
Not meaning it to be a cheap shot and sorry if everyone took it that way.

Wasnt meant to be a "cheap shot" there drgnbkr. The guy made a post about Trinity not putting out D-1A athletes. I say they do.. they just take a different route to get there just like alot of other players across Texas and the nation do. Not a "shot" at Trinity like you say it is.
I also support JUCO football 100% and think it great.

JuCo= Junior College...for once I have to take the side of Texas Frog. I have alot of friends who go to Trinity, alot of them are going to Juco this year, but they always end up at a D1 school...

I don't consider Frog's statement a shot because it's true. And I've been a Trinity fan since 98 when my daughter was in drill team there, and she went to Junior college after Trinity. There's nothing wrong with that.
Trinity probably has about as many kids go to Juco after graduating as any other school like it, but it's true that some of their best football players took the Juco route in recent years. Most people who have followed Trinity football for a while know that.
Case in point: Texas A&M star linebacker Lee Foliaki
Lee had a full scholarship offer from Colorado when he graduated from Trinity in 2001. He had elegibility problems though, so he went to a Kansas Juco where he was an all-american. He was picked up by Texas A&M last year and played a big role in that school's turn-around. He recovered a fumble in OT that won the Colorado game. If they hadn't of won that game they might not have made a bowl game.
Several Trinity players have followed the Juco route and there's nothing wrong with it.
