The old astro-turf in the astrodome is a danger for every player that steps on it. It would take some real work to bring it back to the standard of most good high school fields. It hurts me to talk about this because when i was a kid it was the greatest place to be. I saw Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and many great Astros play there. I saw OJ Simpson play football there, back before he started messing with knifes.

expecting partly cloudy and cool, with a high of 57 (low of 49). Will be brisk inside the stadium until the sun comes over. If you want to stay warm during the DRAGON-LONGHORN game, stay on the Dragon side, the sun will be shining on us.;)

72 miles... roughly 1 hour. Also consider that I work in the metroplex, games are at 7:30 pm. I get off work at 5, and then have to drive 60 miles home, and would have to drive 72 miles back.... within 2.5 hours.

I have to say my favorite part of the SLC game last week is when Piland (?) the Qb had a called QB run. He was SO FAST( and Jittery) he looked like Wined-up car that bounces off the wall a few times before it finds the open doorway. I loved it.:notworthy He then STILL picked up good yardage. I just wondered what would have happened had he hit the hole the first time.:eek:
