Y'know . . . . . .

I was thinking(Yes, which is dangerous),

Both Bigdaddydog and I are kind of Allen Football "widowers".

Our wives don't like football and "LET" us have our little escape
and Dabble in HS football.

This Saturday is going to be the Battle Royal @ Texas Stadium.

Bigdog had said something to me about giving him a call when I get there
so we could hangtogether and watch the other games before movin to the 50 yd. line for the Allen/Coppell extravaganza.

Anybody else want to come join the two "widowers"??????????

It could be a blast to sit together and watch the Eagles "talon"
their way to victory AND . . . . . . .
watch those other insignificant games that precede the MAIN EVENT!

Let us know.

My wife actually said, Let's get there early and watch the Trinity/Plano game! After I got up off the floor, I agreed and I will be there early with the wife and in-laws with her sister in tow. We will be tailgating in the bus/motorhome parking lot. Maybe we can all sit together at the 50 to take it all in.:D

I get in from out of town about 7AM.

I thjink I might just go to TS from the airport.
I don't want to drive up to Allen and then just turn around
and drive down to TS.

Besides, I need to beat the Trinity people or I'll never
get a decent parking spot!;)

I think our folks have designated Taser operators to roust people out of the seats when it's time for our game.

All you have to do when you identify a squater is hold up your hand and yell TASER! and someone will be right with you. :D :p

Since I'm not a football widower and my wife loves football as much as I do, we were planning on being at TS for all three 8-5A games (or at least from half-time on of the Wylie game). Yes, we are planning on the 10 yard line or so for the first two games, although now may have to take PWF seat now after his comment.:D Don't mind meeting up with any and all Allen, 8-5A or HS football fans. Already have our Plano City Championship shirts too from Bigdaddydog. Just ready for an exciting day of football.

Last year for TS stadium so lots of history. I know Wylie (sat with them during the Wylie-Plano game at Clark), Plano and Allen all travel well plus any other 8-5A fans not in the playoffs so could be closer to 35K just from Collin County?

AllenDad - Try being a Lufkin High school Football "Widower" that is out of state (Military) and listens to the games online. Arguement every Friday. Hell if i could fly home every weekend to watch the games i probably would. Dont think my relationship would hold out through that though. Good luck everyone thats playing this weekend.

Amazing. Guess we should not be there too as our youngest graduated in May 2007. Now we're waiting for the class of 2023 as our grandson starts school next year. He is already to be an Allen Eagle. Sorry we've been there until the bitter end of every game and somethings will never change.
BTW, our season tickets are around lots of folks who's kids graduated years ago and still there every home game. Tell your hubby it doesn't have to end just because of graduation.;)

Contact Bigdaddydog, Long Sleeve ($15) and Short Sleeve ($13) in various sizes up to 2XL. Not sure how many he has left.

Looks great with Allen Eagle Football on the front & Plano City Champions 2006-2007-2008 as we beat all three Plano teams all three years.;)

Also, TSRN & Prepcast Live Link (http://www.prepcastlive.com/schedule.aspx) on the internet.
Not sure about Lufkin on the last one as they have all 4 games for Saturday from TS. Shows you play-by-play with the down marker on the field and text telling you what happens.

Think it would have been the guy before DeMyron Martin (http://smumustangs.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/martin_demyron00.html). Now I can't recall, only thing I know from that game is Reggie McNeal kicked Allens butt, Joe Martin (coach at the time and now TX Coaches Association President) threw away the Wing-T and we went to the Spread and used it ever since.

Ok, had to think way back 02 would have been O.B. Webb not sure what happened to him? DeMyron was a Jr. that year and recovering from an injury. His Sr. year he was the main threat in 03 and great at following his blockers. Which is why we got to the Semi's going 13-2 that year to lose to State Champions SLC.

Okay...let's have some fun. I've been going to Allen games since 1999, and this is a list of my alltime favorite Allen Eagle players from these last 10 seasons (in no particular order):

1. DeMyron Martin - I wish he'd chosen more of a "contender" for college, but hope he's getting a decent education at SMU.
2. Casey D. - The boy has had his ups and downs at Arkansas. But, he's also had to live through a lot of turbulence there. I'm always rooting for Casey's success.
3. Nathan D. - I'll never forget the way he played in OT against Spring Westfield down there in Nacogdoches. Great day, great game...great win!
4. Cody Gambill - Tough and scrappy kid whose intensity never seemed to waiver
5. Dan Buckner - I'm already telling UT fans "I've been watching that kid play since he was a baby." He'll likely end up in the NFL (or at least I hope he does).
6. Brennan Gleason - Went to the Univ of Houston, but I'm not sure how he's done down there. I think he's probably graduated by now. That kid caught some unbelievable "Hail Mary" catches in the end zone and was pretty much Casey's and Greg Richardson's go to receiver when they had to make a play. Remember when the Hail Mary pass used to be the last play before halftime if Allen had the ball, and how many times Brandon actually caught it for a TD? It wa samazing
7. Steven Terrell - Block that kick! He DID!
8. Jeremy Reeves - All the way, baby! ALL THE WAY! HE DID IT!
9. Matt Brown - He's Allen's version of Tony Romo. As his fortunes go, so go those of the team's.
10. Charlie O - I was sorry he was hurt his senior year. He was a speed demon.
11. Michael Such - Great punter!

Who else?

Oh yeah...Jeremiah! He's showing a little bit of Marion Barber's tenacity these last few games.

Now you've done it, got me going as spent many springs umpiring ASA baseball with a few of these guys:

My buddy Jerrod Butler (Jason's big brother) never saw so many pancakes from an O-lineman. U of Houston made me proud keeping his scholarship after the heart problem.

Travis Dickerson DT, such a tragic loss to such a great young man.

Neal Tweety great blocking TE, UT Grad Coach today after playing for UT.

Marcus Shavers, DE was with Arkansas but do not see him on the roster now?

------end of my umpires------

Nate Cook, never seen a WR jump so high for a catch as in the Klien Forrest game in Huntsville.

Tyler Crane, DE now at Mizzou with Chase Daniels.

Too many great kids over the years.

GREAT MEMORIES right there!!! I've only been going to Allen games since the first game of 2002 (haven't missed a single once since!) just because that was when my brother was a freshmen in the band
and Allen Football was what convinced me to play football

on that list though.... DON'T FORGET Brennan Gleason!!! he had some hands for a white guy!

Also Allen Fans: I went to A~Town Sports today (Greenville Ave. next to Brookshires and across from sacred Eagle Stadium) and their newest shirts has a really cool logo on the front that says "ATTAINING AREA", and then on the back, in a really cool font and design, it has the 2008 schedule so far, w/ scores, and after each team it says something like Annihalated" or "Destroyed", or "Decimated" (but after Trinity, it say "Revenge Awaits")... and then for Coppell it says "Awaiting Devastation"

Travis Crane, DE now at Mizzou with Chase Daniels.

Too many great kids over the years.

believe that would be mr. TYLER crane

and what about DJ Terrell (Steven's older brother) when he blocked that field goal in double(or maybe triple) Overtime to win us the playoff game!!!

You are correct and caught me before I corrected it. Probably still the tear in my eye from Travis Dickerson made me do a typo?

Yes, so many to mention.

That's who I meant when I said Brandon Jacobs! (Who IS Brandon Jacobs???)

It was the Year after Reggie McNeal. Terrance Parks was the QB that year. We went to loose to SLC in the semi's that year. (also the first year that SLC moved up to 5a)

Oops, thats what I thought after I said that so 1st year of running the spread? And that would have been Obriant Webb for us, not sure where he went?

So it was all your fault for not putting SLC in their place coming up from 4A to 5A, shame on you as we have had to deal with them after that?:D You should have took care of them like we did with Wylie the last couple years and McKinney Boyd this year?;)

Our Oppenents this week, Coppell, & Hebron did this year though in the regular season. Don't think they are quite the same without Dodge?

BTW, I salute you and other veterans and say thank you. Of course done my 20 and now retired from the military.

That game was very controversial. More the questionable calling by the refs and other blatenly wrong calls. But that is neither here nor there and our play calling after we were 30-30 very late in the third consisted of 1 play over and over again didnt exactly help either.

No, I dont think they are the same without dodge but they are still a good team that no matter whose in charge you cant over look.

Thank you very much for you kind words and also for your service.

Y'know . . . . .

I would really like to do this, except I'm working during the game and I'll either be really late or I won't make it at all.

***Not looking ahead or anything***
If we win this week there is a good chance we'll be playing in Abilene next week. Is there any way we could do it then too?

Supposedly, the winner of the Coppell/Allen game will be playing the winner of the Odessa Permian/Burleson game in Texas Stadium on 11/28. That's what I keep seeing on other threads. I think that applies across the board, in spite of who wins each of those games.

Do believe that is correct with the holiday and such they went ahead and scheduled it already is what I read? Said 4 pm for Coppell/Allen vs Odessa Permian/Burleson game. I'm ready for Saturday and will be again too by next Friday as long as we win.;)
