Great win for the Mustangs, I still have to know how did Cy-Fair score 28 points, WF must of not played some of their starters.
Comebacks build character.
They'll need to play better to beat Judson next week, but I have a feeling they'll come prepared.

Cy Fair is NO Judson. You got it backwards. Don't think for a minute that Cy Fair is as good as Judson. They might've caught Westfield on a bad day, but it's not a sign of them being anywhere close to as good as Westfield.

Judson beat Seguin, barely beat Oconnor and well there's Harlingen. I don't think any of those three teams would have beat CY Fair.

Don't discount Cy-Fair too much. They are a good team with a good, diverse offense and strong defense. Their district mates Cy-Falls will play Katy next week. I agree that Judson is a better team, but not completely superior.

Lets all welcome Westfield back to SA..Westfield is 0-2 in SA..Judson will make it 0-3..Trust me agaisnt Judson's defense there will be no coming back. Westfield should hope it get up early..Believe me..Rocket pride is alive and Welcome to SA

I listen to the game and when Westfield wanted to they scored. Could have been 42 - 28 but Westifield was nice of enough to down the ball and let the clock run out, cy-fair played above their ability today and it still wasn't good enough. Judson better come to play next week and they better put there running shoes on because Westfield has a tone of speed and strength up front on that offense of line. fast running backs too. I still feel Westfield wins this game by several TD's. I now say it will be Westfield 35 Judson 14........

Again Nate who said they were, Lonny a good guy but Judson even if they were 1-9 would be a great team to him , that is what makes Lonny special. I have seen the Rockets for 13 games, and this is probably the 2nd worse playoff team that we have had. If Wf does not win this game, they should not go back to Houston. Cy-Fair is at best at least a 15 point better team than Judson.

Listen, lonny has part of it correct WF had an off day and Cy-fair played that good! However, the bad part for the rockets will be that unlike last week there will be now fun around WF. They will come to SA and be on top of their game. I too believe next week will be a blow out, and the rockets will have to play a hungry WF team.

Everytime WF just wins I hear they had an off game..Last week they came back sometime in the 4th quarter to win and now this week they barely win. Thats make 2 off games in a row..When they meet Judson I hope they come correct..We dont want to make this the off game that costs them the season.

I'm not going to say a lot of what I want to say because I don't want to give Westfield any motivation. Needless to say, I have good reasons for what I've said so far and not everything is as it seems to the general populace. I would've preferred that Westfield blow them out if they're going to win, but I remembered something from the past today, too.

I still stand by the notion that Judson is one of the best teams in the state. It doesn't look pretty, but they're winning. It has nothing to do with me being a fan. I'm honest about good and bad and that includes Judson.

Even if they're a little off Westfield can still beat you. You lost FOUR games this year and you guys talk like you're the best . You have about the same chance as the Aggies did against Texas yesterday.

FB yes we lost four games hell who' counting them anyway, truth of the matter we should of lost more. I know that you are use to 4 or 5 Judson fans talking smack, give me a break I agree with you, but you and I will not be playing the game so folks around the state can say whatever the hell they want to. After next week we will be just like you talking about ET trying to beat WF.

hats off to both teams in this game! what an exciting game it was. i was there because my nephew plays for wf but i also wanted to pull for our 175a brethern, too.
wf did not have an off day. cf really stepped up their play today! the offensive line was unbeleiveable today and the defense was absolutely rock solid.
in the end, i think it was wf's depth of athletes and talent that won this one for them. they kept fresh bodies in all game and cf couldn't.
it was a great showing for 175a today. thanks, bobcats! you made a lot of people very proud of you today.

I would have to agree. Judson has absolutely no chance at all. As a matter of fact if they get a first down I would be really surprised. They barely have a kid that can run a 4.7 40. The offensive line averages about 200lbs soaking wet. They have absolutely no tradition to work off of. Pierre Beasley shouldnt even have to practice this week. Corby Meekins will have an easy week as well. I mean, there wont be any pep talks or anything like that this week. Hell, there doesnt even need to be a game plan. Hey Westfield, Judson sucks. This is gonna be as one sided as any game I have seen in years. But I am thinking that Judson might show up just so a forfeit doesnt show up in the box score. I have no idea what Judson is going to do. Well on second thought, I have a really good feeling that Rackley may have them ready to play. Is Judson as good as Westfield? Reading this board I would have to say no. And in reality they probably arent. But if I am Westfield I wouldnt underestimate Judson just yet. The team on the field is unlike any team they have had on the field all year. What does that mean? It means they arent nearly as bad as their 4 loss record may indicate. And it is also apparent that 26-5a is one of the top 2 or 3 districts in the state. All 3 teams are still playing. 2 of Judson's losses were to Smithson Valley and Madison. It is going to be more interesting than anyone on this board thinks it will be. Judson beat a North Shore team years ago that they had no business beating. Rudy Bagnato, the kicker, changed the entire complexion of that game by knocking out Cedric Cormier on the opening kick off. Strange things can happen when Judson takes the field. I think Judson has been tested this year physically and mentally. And I think it is going to pay huge dividends this game against Westfield. I am in no way calling my shot here. I dont know who will win, but I do know that if Westfield comes to San Antonio expecting a 4 loss team to lay over they have another thing coming. This Judson team has alot to prove. And Rackleys team is going to leave their heart on the field win or lose. I cant wait. So Westfield, dont bother studying film this week. There is no need. Just ask the Texas Longhorns. See you Saturday.

from what i seen last week and this week, westfield pass coverage is kind of weak. even though westfield picked off a pass late in the game, cy-falls made some big plays over the top. the solution to at least hang in the game with westfield is to spread the field and throw the ball. hopefully judson has a good passing game becuz they running game would be SHUT DOWN!

Maybe Rackley has been saving the big plays for this week. I hope he can pull some out of the bag. As far as shutting down the Judson running attack, that's where they make thier living. Don't count on it.

Westfield does have some weaknesses just like every team. Judson will have to recognize them and exploit them. It won't be easy, but can be done.

O'Connor ALWAYS gives Judson a good game. They have some coaches that used to coach at Judson. You forgot to mention our non-playoff games.
SV, Madison, Reagan, Copperas Cove, and Pflugerville would beat Cy Fair.

This has the makings of an interesting game:
1. Westfield has to travel.
2. Westfield mentally played the state championship game against North Shore.
3. Their defense was beaten up by a game Cy-Fair team.
4. Playing in Judson's backyard.
5. Judson is on a roll and believes in destiny.
6. Judson is battle tested by playing a killer schedule.
But:
Beasley added: "We can't let this happen again next week. I think this was really a wake-up call for the team." HoustonChron today
That is all I needed to hear from Westfield. The Mustangs have now come from behind in the second half to win. They have played in the finals and feel this is their destiny.
Mustangs win going away.

Nice thoughts, but Judson does not have the horses for this game. The kids are not that fast and are not that big this year. The offense is way below average for a Judson team, and the defense has gotten worse over the past 2 weeks. WF beat a very good Cy-fair team yesterday and The quarterbacks quote was a nice way of saying "Judson is going to get killed next week why pratice" That is why Wf will walk all over Judson.

Why should Westfield roll?
They have only played North Shore is the only outstanding team they have played all year.
Although Judson is not a great team, no 4 loss team is great no matter how tough a schedule, they can pose some problems for the Mustangs.
Just need to focus on one game at a time. Judson will need multiple turnovers to win. I believe Westfield will take them down but not by the margin some are predicting.

Bottom line in this game is that this is almost the exact same WF team that beat a better Judson team last year than the one they have this year. Judson will have to play out of their minds and WF will have to play terrible for Judson to even have a chance. I bet most people picked Judson to get to this game so them beating the teams they have is no surprise. I will say that Cy Fair is not near as good of a team as some have made them out to be so I really don't know what happened to WF this week. Maybe they were coming off a high after beating the second best team in DI last week.

Why should they roll? They are the better team by far. But the game still has to be played. Judson at home? Could make a difference. I don't think WF will be bothered by the travel. But mistakes can happen. WF should roll if they do what they do best. Judson can keep it close by passing. But I'm not familiar with their passing game. One things for sure the run will be hard to come by.

Nobody in the way will stop this Westfield team. I like this group. Most people thought the Westfield-North Shore was the State Champ game. Sorry that game was last week................. Westfield-Fair for state Champ, all others are also rans.

The win-loss record is just part of the equation. 17-5A was the 16th rated district this year and an average team in 17-5A is 13 points worse than an average team in 26-5A. With that in mind, Cy Fair should've dominated things. They might be the best team that Westfield played all year, but they didn't play like that all year and I was just wondering why they didn't play better. 26-5A hasn't been outside the top 3 in district ratings in a long time.
