I just wanted to say congrats to Plano on their victory today. Ya'lls QB was all world today and deserved the victory. Good Luck next week because I think you will need it against SLC. Anyway the better team won today but I am sure proud of the Dawgs, they fought hard and just came up short. I hope the Dawgs earned a little respect today.

Congrats to Plano. Plano has a good team, that's for sure. They didn't score a td after the 1st qtr. but didn't need to as it turned out. Plano's qb was good in handling the ball; Plano produced alot of yardage on the big running plays & pretty much contained Mid.'s Batch to 5 & 6 yd. gains w/ no Batch break-aways--very impressive.

After watching the game @ Shotwell, & having seen the game in Waco last night, too; I will have to say that Plano is, indeed, in trouble next wk. Anything could happen, of course; but I would have to pick SLC by about 4 or 5 td's. Good luck to Plano, though, on a nice re-building job.

Congrats on your season also. Today is the first time i saw Batch and he is good. He has alot of heart, and prolly has our defense in the whirlpool. Great job and see ya next year!!!!!!!
And against SLC, yeah it will be tough. All i can promise is someone will get the first loss of the season and we will show up.

I have just gotten back to Midland after the game and have a few observations.

The Midland quarterback got so rattled and lost his confidence that he had his worst game of the season.

I don't think that Plano beat us, in so much as we beat ourselves. Because he lost his confidence and couldnt get it back he was making some mistakes and we had a one dimensional offense at best. Baron Batch did some pretty amazing things today but he can't carry the whole load on his back all the time.

I wasn't all that impressed with the Plano team. Like I said it was MHS beating themselves more than Plano beat us today. We could have beat them and we just had a bad day like anyone can. In my observation of today's game, I don't think Plano really has a chance next week against SLC.

Anyway we had a great season and much accomplished this year. I salute the Midland High team and all they accomplished.

i guess some people just love to come up with excuses. i think you should give credit where credit is due. Yea yall didnt help yourselves very much but plano shut you down second half. plano earned a win today. It was plano that "rattled" your QB causing him to play his worst game ever and it was plano that caused the turnovers. Yea plano didnt play its best game so im not expecting you to be impressed but a win is a win.

btw midland does have an excellent team congrats to a successful season. also im glad i go to tech cuz batch was tearn' it up!! Plano had alot of trouble with him. next season ill be cheering for him :D

Awesome, then the story I heard must have been a rumor or false. I heard that he was holding out because Tech is a spread team and that won't showcase his skills as a runner.

I don't think it really matters who would have won the game today. SLC will most likely prevail next week by a huge margin.

Same to ya:D I love to get on these boards and talk a little smack but man oh man some of the kids really take the fun out of the whole process. I apologize for some of the comments I made but they were just designed to yank the young ones around a little bit. I am not unhappy with our defensive effort today, I just wish our QB would have had a better one. Once again ya'lls QB is all world and I hope he gets a scholarship somewhere because I love a player with determination and heart and that young man has it all.

I saw the same game. Plano outplayed you. No big runs by Batch and we won the turnover battle. Same song, second versus. You got beat and you didn't beat yourselves. Plano did!!

i could tell that midland didnt play their best this game, but neither did plano. the defense did an amazing job stopping batch, and mark had an amazing running game bc the midland defense keyed on justin every play. the score should have been alot higher for plano seeing that they failed to capitalize on three drives close to the redzone, but in the playoffs a win is a win. i garuntee that plano will do whatever it takes to play a tough game with SLC.

I just want to say that I was so impressed at Batch and think that he is a true powerhouse. Not many backs take the kind of hits he did and still gain another 5 yards. That guy is awesome. I just want to say that I was so impressed at Batch and think that he is a true powerhouse. Not many backs take the kind of hits he did and still gain another 5 yards. That guy is awesome. I feel bad that he didn't break the school record. He definitely deserved it. I wish your coach would have given him the ball up the middle a few more times. Lord knows he would have gotten the yards. It was a very sprited game and had a lot of the Texas football mystique about it. Thanks for the opportunity to play you guys and hope to see you again in the future. I know we will be seeing Batch in the future.

You can always tell the true fans:) We are still new to this playoff thing, 2002 was the first time in 51 years. As much as I dislike some of the so called Plano posters on here I do respect the tradition and the team. We would love to build a tradition as rich as Plano in the future. I am sure we will probably meet again. Good luck next week. I remember in 2002 we weren't supposed to win any of our playoff games and if it wasn't for a last second hail mary pass we would have had a championship. The more people told us we would lose the stronger our resolve got. Looks like the same is happening to your team this year.;)

The four turnovers hurt. Also, as already mentioned, the Midland QB seemed to lose his focus as the game progressed.

Enjoyed watching Batch carry the ball, strong North-South runner. Often, took several tacklers to bring him down. He was a warrior.

he benches 400# and is solid muscle and is a great kid with an excellent attitude. He should do well in college. I would love to have seen him play with Ya'lls Qb on the same team. There would never be a need to pass the ball.

Didn't you know...no team loses, they beat themselves;) Man I hate that kind of post. We lost to a better team that day. I am not saying we couldn't beat them but we didn't and that is history. The only other posts I detest are the one from the fans of a winning team that say ..we should have scored three more touchdowns..yada yada yada or if we had not called off the dogs we could have scored 100 points. Some people aren't satisified with winning and make excuses why the margin of victory wasn't bigger. 1 point or 70, makes no difference. A win is a win
