Any specific fare you had in mind? We have all the usual chain restaurants, as well as a bunch of locally owned venues, bbq joints galore, and even more mexican restaurants.

I am not sure how far away this is from Round Rock (shouldn't be too far), but the place is awesome and worth any drive!

My family relocated to Round Rock for a few days after Ike and we really enjoyed a little local restaurant named Gino's Italian. Nothing fancy but the food and service were very good and reasonably priced.

If you are spending the night you MUST make time either Fri or Sat to drive out to Dripping Springs and eat at Salt Lick BarB Q if you never have before -- it is an Austin tradition and IMO the best BarB Q I have EVER ate ( and I have ate a bunch in my life ) -- plus the atmosphere is awesome -- you have to bring your own beer -- they make room for Ice Chests -- it is part of tradition there --usually have live band playing outside on weekends ( unless it gets too cold -- then they pack up and go back to 6th street -- lol )

I know it's not Dinner, but in the morning you have to get Round Rock Donuts. They are the best I've ever had and every time I go back I make sure to get them.

Well, I am not a resident of RR, but I play one during the day as I work here. The stadium is quite a ways away from where you are staying, but there are lots of restaurants both places.

Very close to you is Chuy's which I love, or Mesa Rosa for Tex-mex. Serrano's is another Tex-Mex joint in La Frontera. Smokey Mo's BBQ is good at I-35 & Louis Henna. Gumbo's on 620 is awesome seafood, but very small. Right down the street from the stadium at Avery Ranch Blvd and Parmer Lane is Z Tejas. Awesome CFS. They use aged ribeye for their CFS. Ummmm. Downtown RR (RM 620 E of I-35) is Main St Grill (pricey) and Louisiana Longhorn Cafe. Gino's Italian mentioned in another post is not bad and very reasonable.

All of the above are somewhat "local" places.

Actually they just opened up a Round Rock location, and my waistline has been suffering ever since... It's right next to Dell Diamond.

I second the choice of Gumbo's for seafood. Or Saltlick across from Dell Diamond. Z Tejas is awesome. NOT Serrano's(yuck), ...Great now I'm hungry.

I always try to go to Kerbey Lane Cafe. The Tortilla soup is the best I've had! Not in RR, but just 3 miles from the stadium.

I would check out the Salt Lick near the Dell Diamond for sure. Round Rock Donuts for breakfast and The Brooklyn Pizza Company near the stadium is pretty good too.

If you want the best mexican food you have ever had in your life. Go to rio grande, they have two locations one in hutto in the shopping center with the home depot, and one in round rock off of north mays accross from the 7-11.

Great quesadillas, and margaritas

Right outside the front door of your hotel is Saltgrass steak house, Chuys, and Cracker Barrell. North of the hotel across the road is Rudy's BBQ. There are lots of other restraunts close but those four are veryyyyy good.

If you want to go a little more upscale “Cool River” is a great choice. It is not far from the stadium.

Can't believe I forgot about Cool River. Excellent option. Also, I forgot, but La Margarita is just about a mile south of the Garden Inn on I-35. It's local and pretty good, too.
