let me clarify a few things for you........

1st, you are questioning the numbers of one mr. robinson, he is running in
a 6 back system with a lot of rotating, williams -robinson- hart, at rb,
stevenson- smith- and the same mr. robinson at full back, so no one has extroadinary numbers, just FRESH runningbacks rotating in and out on a regular basis, i did a quick check of stats, rushing numbers after TEN games
last year, are real close to the same as the numbers after TEN games this year, just more good backs carrying the load,,
2nd, you speak of last years leading rusher samir baker who finished with
over 2200 yds:) you do realize he had 1116 yds after 10 games last season,
and went on to have a MONSTER playoffs with 1108 yds in SIX playoff games,
3rd. last year our qb threw for 1706 yds in 16 games, after ten games this
year he has thrown for 1555, just 151 yds short of last year.. the trinity offense at this point has been more productive than last year..

ps. i know you find it hard to fathom having more than one reliable runningback, seeing that no other plano RB has over a 100 yds this season.

That is just not happening regardless of the reason you must admit its disappointing that a Nebraska recruit has put up pretty average numbers.

The number that sticks out to me is that regardless who is playing RB is the average yards per carry is around 5.8. Mr. Baker last year was over 8 yards a carry. 2.2 yards difference is a huge drop. Now your passing game is better with the development of your QB from a junior to Senior.

I just feel that Trinity's running game regardless of the 23 RB's is not as strong as last year. Which gives me confidence that Plano can beat Trinity as long as they don;t turn the ball over and keep you boys under 28. If that happens Plano wins. NO DOUBT IN MY MIND!!

Coach Lineweaver and Trinity haven't dismissed Marcus as casually as you have. Trinity has certainly seen plenty of flack itself but Trinity does always have room for improvement.

Again; Rpbinson's numbers are not the least bit disappointing to anyone. Have fun trying to drum up something. He will have fun, along with the other backs, burning you with FRESH legs.
1. You are right. In MOST cases the D1 commit gets worked like a horse, as Burkhead does. But...the difference is Trinity has so many backs they can spread the wealth and keep all fresh. Even those with a lot less carries have a good average. It also hasn't been during backups' trash time. It is also being done with a corps of receivers, not just one or two as in other teams. That adds to the success formula. Again, it is not dissappointing at all. It is called winning with a 10-0 record. Can you say that??? Nope!
2. Why are you knocking an average of 5.8 yards per carry for the group? That means a first down every 2 carries, posssession of the ball, using the clock, and most importantly: SCORING!!
3. We are nnot worried about scoring a certaing number, as long as it is more than the other team. Trinity has done that 10 times this year. However, your (Plano's) average points against per game makes it quite likely that it will happen. And Trinity's points against average makes your problem much greater. And this includes against Nationally ranked teams that both pass and run.

Trinity is no slouch. Neither is Plano. Last night no turnovers and only 3 penalities for 15 yards. Offense played a perfect 2nd half. Defense bend but not break. Made some great fourth and goal stops and had their Red Zone Defense in with Burkhead, Lott stepping in. Plano will have to throw the kitchen sink at Trinity, if the Offense plays turnover free and minium penalites we can win a shoot out.

I might have to rethink the statement. I am listening to the SLC vs CH game and SLC's defense is putting a beating on CH offense. Two weeks ago Hebron shredded SLC's D for 600 yars and 50 points. Plano's D held Hebron to 28. Trinity's defense gave up 28 and only won by 7.

By deduction and 7 degrees of team seperation Plano's defense is obviously stronger than TrinitY's!!:D


Sooo You cane make a conclusion the Plano defense is better than Trinity because of some game sthat are totally unrelated. Is this your version of new math???

last i checked 5.8 is enough to kick your butt 7 to 9 minutes a drive. have fun with those 23 backs cause half of em play on defense. Trinity for all intents and purposes has 3 RB's. Only 3 of your RB's have more than 50 carries during the first 10 games. That is a average of 5 carries a game.

Regardless of Mr. Robinsons stats, in most cases a D1 Commits coming off a 800 yard junior year would have a substantial boost his senior year in yards & carries. That is just not happening regardless of the reason you must admit its disappointing that a Nebraska recruit has put up pretty average numbers.

The number that sticks out to me is that regardless who is playing RB is the average yards per carry is around 5.8. Mr. Baker last year was over 8 yards a carry. 2.2 yards difference is a huge drop. Now your passing game is better with the development of your QB from a junior to Senior.

I just feel that Trinity's running game regardless of the 23 RB's is not as strong as last year. Which gives me confidence that Plano can beat Trinity as long as they don;t turn the ball over and keep you boys under 28. If that happens Plano wins. NO DOUBT IN MY MIND!!

every coach in texas wishes they had the variety of skill players triniy puts on the field. Take a look at total offense, balance, efficiency, and then ask yourself what the word TEAM means. several times this year trinity didnt even punt and still manged to score less than 50, You say there succeess is the offensive line. this is the most inexperienced line trinity has had in years. 1 returning starter who was hurt game 4 last year and didnt return till the end of the year. The returning players are all skill positions and the line is just now starting to hit there stride. The O line hasnt been healthy all year and is finally expected to play there third game in a row as a unit. They should only get better every game.Pastry maker could be making it.:D

Slow drives and points each time will make your statement true. Look they are already jealous of your O as they only have a great big O line with average players in the backfield. Need your D to avoid their holds and stop them.;)

There is no more intense player, trey will flat kncok your block off and open holes right there with the hawgs. Stetson moved to that floating flanker and increased the lead blocking 2 fold. This kind of sacrafice of personel glory for the good of the team is why Trinity is who they are. trey is right where he belongs this year and im more than sure rex would be greatful to have a fullback like trey opening holes in front of him. The tailbacks get the press and trinty has very good deep talent at tailback. But the full back makes the whole thing go without trey we are not the same team. trey is a warrior a unselfish young man, hes a true team player and has the heart if a lion. last year trey broke his leg against bell. Three weeks later against bowie he came in the game and caught a 60 yard pass for a TD hyper ectending his knee. We dont make state without trey last year or this year. You can question stats but understand this young man is truly outstanding example of what a team player is and the sacrafices that have to be made by individuals to become a truly great team. trinity is full of players that sacrafice there own goals for the goals of the team and this si what makes them a little bit special in my eyes. Tsup, you are right on. As a fan and a study of Trinity Football for years I could not describe this point any better. Trinity is all about team and not one or several star players. This is why Trinity is good every year. When the game is won subs get to play. A lot! Why do you think Trinity rebuilds in one year. Because many backups get a lot of playing time instead of running up the score. Lineweaver and staff know exactly what they are striving for. A TEAM! Many great Trinity players over the years have sacrificed individual goals for the good of the team. Sure is easy being a fan of Trinity!

That is the difference between boys and men! These young men are a unit! My son was the lucky one chosen to play Mr. Rex Burkhead last year as a scout teamer. I can't tell you how proud he was when the defense came to him and told him how well he had prepared them for the "Superman"! I am sure that we will be as equally prepared for the Plano Triplets!

I think he hyperExtened his knee against Plano after scoring on a pass, Plano didn't expect him to play since he had been hurt from the Bell game and they had no answer for him. If Trey plays the whole game its a blow out! but that was last year.

I'm new to the board but have been lurking for awhile, I have followed the Trojans since we moved here 11 years ago and my son runs track for the Trojans. I still say the best game I have ever witnessed was the Southlake and Trinity and a close second was the Plano - Trinity game last year. I think Southlake is in a good position this year, no one expects them to get very far and they keep plugging away. I think CHHS overlooked Southlake as crazy as they might seem! Pride and Tradition plays alot into high school footbal especially when the kids buy into it!
