Thanks and you do have a damn good team.

I hope next weeks games do not get as dirty with the trash talking. That stuff was unreal between the Cove fans and Garland fans. I am glad that is over.
Im supporting my team but going to try and keep the BS a little less intense this week.

Hope we get to meet up again as you guys were one of the quickest teams we have played in getting off the ball.

Great game, Dawgs. You are the fastest and best coached team we played this year - we got our tails kicked by a better team.

I think you may just have what it takes to give SLC a run for their money.

I was also impressed with your fan support (even though it wasn't much fun being on the receiving end of the taunting :D ) - but we earned it.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Yes it does but you guys can hang your heads high. You have a good team and you made it farther than a lot of other have this year. It sucks when it ends but its also a beginning to start on next season. You got a taste and you will want more so i am sure you will be back.

Great game Owls, and great fan support, I saw your "superowls" in the student section, they were plenty loud

Got to praise your coach there at the end, some of your players were a little wild and coach getting refer to give him a time out to talk to them. Nice move by the coach & ref. #47 Antwine was big and caused some trouble in first half, he will be playing on Sat soon

Great win Cove, keep it up. I saw the Cove/Judson game on week 2 and thought both had a ways to go, I was right at least about one of those. You have given me a Rocket fan hope, hey we only lost by one point so maybe Judson is not as bad as I think that they are.

I saw Cove play Judson and I saw Cove play Garland...I would say Judson is alot better but that is just my opinion.

I think when we played Judson it was really early in the season thats what made it tough for Cove and Judson. Garland, on the other hand, cove was more experienced and mature. and that is what gave us the win.

What does maturity have anything to do with winning a game? I can see where experience comes into play, but maturity has nothing to do with executing plays better.

I was extremely impressed with the agility of the Dawgs...I honestly wasn't expecting much after seeing the raw size of them when your guys ran out on the field pre-game, but man, was I proved wrong.

Great game Dawgs, and great season Owls.

Give Lufkin a run for their money. ;)

Haha, I must say man, I was looking for you and the rest of your "gay hippie", Burke:D buddies the moment I came on the field. I was disappointed to see that you guys weren't making as much noise as I expected. I didnt hear a single "hoot" from you three. Maybe the rest of your student section drowned you out, because when the few opportunities to cheer were there, they were definetely loud. Kudos on having the guts to come out dressed like that though, it shows your school spirit! Great game Garland, good luck next year.

Yeah they've won national championships and such. Our band has definetely dropped off some though from what I remember going to watch games and leaving with headaches from how loud they were, which is def. not the case anymore. Your band seemed to be pretty good. Of course I didn't get a chance to see your halftime show..

I found it very strange that when your offense was on the field, your band was PLAYING. I kept waiting for the coaches or someone to tell them to cut it out, but they kept playing when your offense was out there.

Last year we were picked to finish tied for 4th place by the local press. We went 9-1 regular season 7-0 in district and won district. That shows a lot about the character of our players. If you want something bad enough, don't give up!!!! Go Dawgs

I like when your player #23 was talkin trash on Cove's sideline and one of our coaches was trying to move him away and he pushes our coach. Then a couple plays later he grabs Travis Wheeler #4 by the facemask and throws him on the ground...NO CLASS from him....The Cove student section starting giving him tons of hell...

I am assumining with that quote you were in the locker room during halftime. Also you are a part of that team. If so you are a cancer and need to be let go from the program. Anyone that would get on this board and say such things probably says them in the huddle as well. I am sure your parents are proud.

Gosh, don't get me going again on the band. Ever since the former band director left our marching band has went down hill. I have personally called the School Board and suggested that if the band is not going to be allowed to play, just leave them home and save the gas. I always have to laugh when I hear the excuse that their mouthes will get too tired.

Several weeks ago, the band started playing again, but it didn't last for long. In the old days the "hey" song really used to get the fans pumped up. The only time the "hey" song gets our fans pumped up now is when the opposing team's band is playing it.

I've also been told that former band members are embarassed on our bands effort both on and off the field.

I need to be perfectly clear...... it is not the band members......they have the talent but are not alllowed to display it.....

Yeah, I really miss the old days when the band had the fans dancing in stands....... We had the dancing tubas and dancing drummers in the stands.... it was awesome

Actally no im not on the team and never was but good try though. Apparently you did not watch the game and the radio announcers were saying the same thing as i posted. Nothing after halftime changed to help our chances to win. Are you saying Cove isn't well coached and that we did make adjustments???? What are you trying to say in your post.

this is prob. because our band directors are completly oblivious to what is going on around them. if they werent then theyd prob. realize that no one enjoys what the band plays, and would also know that when we are on offense and the team is right in front of you you arent supposed to play.

just my two cents on that one
