This is just an incredible playoff run for SLC. I must admit I thought SLC was pretty good but have been unwilling to this point to say they are the best SLC team ever..... after tonight I am convinced. They are the best SLC team ever.

Grapevine must have been the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Indianapolis Colts then?? They are one of the best teams in Texas hs football history in the last 4 years if not the best?? but come on people they are far from invincible?? My team has had played them twice and had a great chance in both games, and the last time i checked they have 16-18 year olds like everybody else??

Grapevine is one of those teams that only plays at their best when they know that they are playing a hard team. Like SA Churchill.

Yeah, they weren't very sportsmanlike either. In 2004 they started two massive fights, and this year they kept trying to fight but we just walked away. If we had played them in a game we would have won, which was a shame since we share the exact same offensive playbook, they have known it for years and we had known it for weeks and we were executing better than they were.

what can you say SLC is a MACHINE they are smacking people around in the pplayoffs.

Who cares what they did in the season the playoffs are a whole new ball game and SLC has turned on that other switch and geat and put something besides gasoline in there behinds they are playing great football and it will be hard for any team to beat them. I like the chances of them playing a Lufkin or Cove a team with speed that can run with there WR and keep up and get a pass rush on there QB. and if SLC looses it will be because of that. The speed of a Lufkin and Cove.SLC is not slow but i think the others have just a bit more speed but. with them being the champ you cant go against them or say anything bad about them they are 60-1 in 5a footbal they are the mythical National champs in highschool football to beat them you are going to have to play a turnover free game and ball control on Offense dont let there O get on the field and put up points.

True but it is so amazing that Southlake Carroll had a shutdown... I am so amazed by them!!! So freaking dang great team, wow!

Tyler Lee didn't have any close scores in the playoff until 2nd Half in Championship when Westfield came up with 14 points and Tyler Lee didn't score any in 2nd half. It was 28-7 in 1st Half... Southlake Carroll could be next but there offense was way higher and also defense started doing this now.

Just got back from the SLC game, at this point I can say from many years of experience that SLC is one of if not the best HS team I seen they way they have played the last 3 weeks.

Most dominating defense I have seen at SLC in the past 5 years and the offense is really clicking right now, does not mean they cannot be beat as it is hard to play 6 games at this high level but if they do I don't see anyone knocking them off this year.

I have attended 7 state games in the 70's, 5 in the 80's, 5 in the 90's and 5 this decade so have been watching for awhile. This year have seen Trinity, Tyler Lee, Plano, Longview, Lufkin, etc. All good but none have seemed to step up another level in the playoffs, and some actually coming down a notch from regular season play. Have not seen Katy or SV yet this year and they seem to get better as the playoffs roll.

Great game to SLC, look forward to watching a few more weeks,
