i wasnt lookin for the trash talk i was tryin to get some real analysis not some katy fan with a big head.

I think Laporte will put up a good fight against katy but i don't see them pulling it off, I know for a fact that they will beat Cy Falls though......I watched Cy Falls play strake and I was not that impressed

Katy needs to get by Westbrook first, and we are suppose to have some rain this weekend wich can make good teams struggle and bad teams make plays.

I haven't seen La Porte play this year and I haven't researched them yet, but from what I understand La Porte has a good offense and a not so good defense. If that truely is the case then I would say that it doesn't bode well for La Porte. I will say that I don't see how Falls could beat LP, but who knows.

Once you get this deep in the playoffs I think an upset is a real possibility. Katy hasn't played Beaumont West Brook yet and they probably have upset aspirations themselves. Never take your opponent lightly nor look past them to the next possible opponent. So, to answer your question, La Porte could beat Katy if Katy doesn't bring their A game.


P.S. But LaPorte probably won't beat Katy. :D

La Porte has a very exciting team. I saw them beat Memorial and Dobie earlier this year. I especially enjoyed the Memorial game at your house. Your fans really rock the place.

I have also seen CyFalls and Katy. La Porte should be able to beat CyFalls. Beating Katy is another thing. A thing which won't happen.

Katy's offensive line and running game are devastating. They have a solid defense. They are chunking the ball more this year. IMO these things add up to another win by them over SLC in the championship game. But that is getting ahead of things and is after all just my personal opinion.

WOW, a fact eh? I wish I had seen that segment of the sports section. Has someone told coach Raffield? I mean, why show up!!

Seriously, never look beyond your next game - I'm pretty sure that Cypress Falls is not looking past LaPorte nor do they care who was impressed with last weeks play - that was last week. The thing about Cypress Falls is it's usually not even the same team from week to week - they tend to mix things up a bit - as Forrest Gump would say - You never know what your gonna get.

As far as the answer to the first question - IMO (not a fact) a resounding no - Katy would more than likely beat LaPorte.

i went to the katy/cy creek game last weeK to support 175A. from what i saw, la porte would not have a chance against katy. offense, defense, special teams, speed, coaching, game plan..........its all there. too bad la porte will not get a chance to test my theory.

Just had to bring this one back up - Uh, no La Porte will NOT beat Katy next week - and that's a FACT:)

However, LaPorte did play a great game tonight...just ran out of time I guess (thank goodness). This game gave me a splitting headache by the end - guess I need to stop dancing so much during the game:rolleyes: Eagles - you are the BOMB boys - I am SO proud of each and every one of you. If I'm not mistaken, this is the deepest Cypress Falls has ever gone in playoffs. Katy, you guys MUST win tomorrow so we can all meet at Tully on Saturday!!

corection, mom. falls made it to the regional finals last year, too. D1 then so it was 1 week sooner. but again, regional finals. time to start a new thread. check it out.

You are correct - we did go to the regional finals - I was just thinking we hadn't gone 4 deep. Last year we did it in 3.

I did not think that Falls would pull this one through but they did

Great game by Falls tonight. Jack Freeman was everywhere and has "just a little bit" of speed. On that last play I went from, "why are they running" to "Oh crap" to "they have the angle and will knock him out of bounds on the 20" to " how did he make it to the 3?"

Exciting ending to a good game and I was impressed with several of the LP players. That QB is a good one, the RB was huge and the TE was also very good.

So we live to see another day and I guess we find out tomorrow who we play. By the way CyFalls Mom, I hear it won't be Tully regardless of who we play. I'd look maybe for a home/home coin toss. Of course, after 3 weeks we can almost consider Rhodes as our "home away from home".

no kidding on the lp players. once again, we were verticaly challenged against another team. big boys. as usual from la porte. great fan base!!! really enjoyed the game atmosphere.

My bad - someone told us it was going to be at Tully if it was Katy and Cy Falls (neutral, middle ground site). I think it would be fine at Pridgeon or Rhodes too - we have done just fine at Rhodes! Can you tell I'm just excited - I'm still up and it's almost 2:00 am...I'll crash shortly.
