I am picking Lufkin to win by 12 scoring a late TD to seal the deal

I am pickin an upset. Don't let their record fool ya! They lost to some of the best by just a little bit! They overcame Klein Collin's defense. Almost closed the deal on Klein Oak. Lufkin is playing with alot of intensity. Klein has a score to settle! Kinda like the same score we had to settle with Westfield. Lufkin, bring your weepin towels! :D

Easy to forget the predistrict schedule LP played and all are in the PO's (Tyler Lee(Dist Champ), John Tyler, Longview(Dist Champ - 3 OT's), Mesquite, & Northshore(Dist Champ - lost by 7 in last minute)), a couple of plays bouncing in the right direction LP could have been undefeated as well. The LP offense did struggle much of the season, but the last 3-4 games they seem to have found that missing consistency they lacked and appear to be peaking at the right time. The D has also stepped up the intensity.

The 72 points scored in '06 even shocked Lufkin fans and don't think that'll be the case this year. The past is only history and has no bearing on this weekend.

With the more consistent O and and an outstanding D, Lufkin by 10.

Should be a tight game. The fact that Klein has never traveled out of town, plus coming to a hostile environment will be bigger than the Bearkats realize.

Lufkin is playing better, but is still prone to offensive mistakes. No score from me just yet.

Is the game being played at Ole Abe? Lufkin doesn't lose at home.

They're like 20 something and 1 at home with the most recent loss to Northshore with a streak that started back in '03 I think

27-14 LP

Fav I am just curious. How many Lufkin games have you been to this year? Have you been to all the home games? Any out of town games?

All home games, plus the Lee game. A down year of travel for me for sure. Work has been a killer. How about you?

Klein had little interest in playing us that day. Funny thing is - Coach Outlaw apparently offered the Klein coach to "let the clock run". The Klein coach said no - and it apparently fired his kids up enough late to score two late TD's against our second and third units. Weird game all around.

This may have been why Klein lost interest: :D

I have been able to make all the games this year. I thought I remembered you saying work was going to keep you from some games but I was not sure. I just noticed you posted during some of the games so I wondered if you weren't able to make the game or if you were posting from the game with a laptop or smartphone.

If lufkin continues to not cough up the ball they should be able to win. It was the downfall of the pack earlier this year leading to every loss.

Should be interesting seeing Kleins big Oline and running game against lufkins Dline, the battle will probably be won or lost right there (again so long as lufkin's O doesnt give the ball away 3 or 4 times) .

I think the packs offense is finally starting to click, seeing them move away from the deep ball more and more and use an effective run/short pass game to move the ball, though they still go deep. If they play like they have the last two weeks ill give it to Lufkin by 17. Would say 14 but think the homefield advantage with fans screaming (hopefully, last game was kinda quiet) and it being a playoff game has them fired up and rdy to play.

Nawww, not at all - seriously, no. But, your team will have 3,000 Lufkin fans sitting directly behind them yelling "LP" every few minutes.

Here's a positive - you get a big cut of a 9,500 seat sell-out gate receipts.

Hmm, yeah, my phone is pretty dumb. LOL - I've listened to every snap, but it's sure not the same as being there. In all honesty, when Lil' Miss Favpack dropped drill team and got accepted to UT, I realized I better stay home - turn on the radio - and start making some money!

It will be interesting to see if LP's defense can cage Dakota Barnes. He is pretty slippery. Klein has some good receivers. In the past Klein's QB's have had a problem hitting them. If Klein can get both facets going it will make for a pretty good game.

Congrats on that, my Father and sister graduated from there. It's a great University.

But Lufkin should win this one in front of a packed house at Abe by at least two scores. I don't think Klein running game or huge O-line will be anything we haven't seen this year, we did play North Shore.

By the way Klein fans if you dont buy your tickets before coming this way or plan on getting here at least 3 hours before kickoff i really wouldnt worry about making the trip as i doubt there will be any tickets left.

They do try to save some seats on the visitors side for true visitors but plenty of general football fans from the area will be showing up just to see a game and i bet the visitors side fills up fast with those people.
