I just noticed the weather in Waco tomm night is supposed to be in the mid-50s with a 90% chance or rain/storms. I can't recall any games (esp playoff) in recent memory where weather was a factor. (Weren't all our games last year in TS?) How badly do you think this will affect our passing game? I know Abilene can run the ball pretty well so this may give them some advantage if Tre doesn't bring his "A game."

this year's team hasn't been exposed to the elements. traditionally, passing teams don't fare well in rain, but such hasn't been the case for slc in the recent past. wind seems to be more of an effective speed bump. ahs also depends alot on the pass so any effect will be pretty equally shared. ahs has more wind daily and so has played and practiced more in the wind than slc. unless it's a gale, doubt it'll be too much of a problem for either team.

As long as weather holds the wind shouldn't be much of a problem at 9mph. Humm now to find a green raincoat...

I would agree with that. In the Monty game last week, the wind was a definite factor. All the points were scored on one side of the field due to the wind. Lubbock with wind. Imagine that. I think the name Lubbock is probably Indian for blows like he!!.;)

According to the weather channel's hourly forecast, there's only a 30-40% of rain from 7 pm til midnight.

At 6pm Thurs., the NWS @ Austin is forecasting 70% rain chances for the Austin area Fri. night. We're hoping for rain because Ab.'s pass def. has been a little weak this yr. Of course Ab. passes pretty well, so rain may limit the Ab. off., too. I wouldn't put too much stock in Ab.'s running game although fm. what I've seen of SLC (2 games), I wouldn't put much stock in SLC's running game, either, this yr.

From the weather service @ 7:30 Thursday night:
For friday night:
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm during the evening, then some lingering showers still possible overnight. Low 58F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall around a half an inch.

Looks like it will be a wet night of football..be careful!

Well... I think Abilene has better a good weather with cold like in the 50s but Southlake Carroll got better at 70 and 80s. Thats all I know, I do know that Southlake Carroll has so much in passing so that could be hard for them to throw so far.

Latest forecast says no rain until after midnight. It looks like weather will not be a factor in this one.

58-62 with 5-10 mph wind out of se. no factor. and the rain is needed so badly i'm almost willing to desire it as long as some of it falls on my backyard.

How long do you all predict it will take to get to waco from SL tonight? Between possible bad weather, hillsboro shopping-traffic, thanksgiving, etc...maybe 2 hours? Good places to eat dinner there?
