Still trying to get over last Thursday Night, you know, the game where we had the game won, a BCS bid, and MWC championship, and gave it all away.

Well, we now know that our season will end in 2 ways:

1. BYU beats Utah and there is a 3 way tie(or 2-way tie if Air Force beats BYU) for the MWC championship. We get a MWC Co-Championship, a MWC Championship ring, but likely land in the Armed Forces Bowl here in Fort Worth on New Years Eve.

-or-

2. Utah beats BYU, we get 2nd place in the MWC. No MWC Championship or ring, but we get to go to the Las Vegas Bowl on December 21.

Basically its pick your poison. Would you rather have a championship and a championship ring, yet play a bowl game on New Year's Eve at home against a middle of the pack C-USA team like Rice, or not get a championship/ring and get to go to a 5 day all expenses paid vacation/bowl game at Las Vegas vs. a Pac-10 team, before Christmas, so we can spend the rest of Winter Break home for the holidays after December 21?

Tough choice!

Keep in mind that though the Armed Forces Bowl would pick us in scenario #1, we might not accept the invitation. We have turned down the Armed Forces Bowl before and had another bowl pick us instead.

My vote is you want the ring and the co-championship. It's a little hollow to play in Vegas and know you didn't win the title. I know Vegas is more fun than playing at home, but look at this 20 years from now:

1. We didn't win a title, but we played in Vegas, but that's not as big of a deal now because I've been to Vegas quite a bit.
2. We played a bowl game at home, but we have a ring and were MWC co-champions in a year that some say our conference was better than some BCS conferences.

Don't think for a minute it won't mean a lot to me if Tech wins the Big 12 in the year with the best competition ever for the conference and I don't play!:D

I keep drooling at the thought of what TCU could've done if Emmanuel Moody had transfered to the Horned Frogs, instead of Gimmicky Florida. My God... no offense to Turner and Brown, but Moody would command a ton of respect from the Safeties, thus making the hash-zone look like Christmas for Dalton... or any QB, for that matter.
