Another Holiday season is upon us and as Americans we have a lot to be thankfull for this year.

First i would like to thank god for all that he has blessed me with during my life and the wonderful people he has allowed me to interact with in various ways.

Second, i would like to thank our Armed Forces for protecting our country which gives us the opprotunity to live our lives as openly as we do and enjoy all the things we are able to enjoy in this country.

Third, Texas High School Football and all the participants on this message board that make spending my countless hours on the internet so meaningful.
I hope that everyone has a good Thanksgiving and gets to spend it with those that mean the most to them. Those that will be going to games have a safe trip and may the best teams win and advance to the next round

I know all of us are guilty at some time of not doing things we should for various reasons but i would like to encourage everyone to do a good dead this weekend while attending one of the various games throughout the state or while doing other things. Lets have a weekend where people make a difference and make a positive impression with someone they come in contact with.

Have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving and spread a little kindness to others.

I'd like to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving, too. If you guys are in the San Antonio or Longview/East Texas areas, you might see me on TV doing a Holiday Greeting.

On the political part of it, we're doing a lot of good in these countries even if we're over here for the benefit of big business, the politicians, and defense contractors.

Thanks and a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We are definately blessed to be able to enjoy good food and family on this day, for we have so much to be THANKFUL for in this great land we live.

Everyone have a safe holiday, eat lots of food and watch the Cowboys-Denver game today. Then let your wife go shopping and watch the Horns and Aggies on Friday. Then everyone get out and support your High School teams on Friday night and Saturday.

Just read in the local paper that Lufkin has played playoff football past Thanksgiving 7 out of the last 8 years. Going to be a great weekend.

Go Pack!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all, I know we get heated on this board some of us do a fair amount of trash talking (I am guilty of it too) but its all in good fun.

I wish a safe trip to all the teams traveling this weekend, yes including SLC.

Finally I give thanks to the Mighty Plano Wildcats and the 12-0 season they are having. Let's make it 13-0 against Midland so I can recieve an early X-Mas present which will be a Texas Stadium match-up between the Dragons and Wildcats, which could break the current attandance record set by Plano.

Possibly they will beat Midland... We all thought Plano was a great team since begin of the season.

I was in the Mt. Pleasant paper about 5 times and they wrote an article about me in the Anchorage Daily News back in 1993. It was in the middle of the huge sports cards craze and I got one of those Shaq Beam Team cards that was worth over $300. I traded it for Charles Barkley, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin rookie cards.

That's true. Sometimes I'll post something and as soon as it comes up, I see an error and have to go back to edit it.

"How many teams in the state can beat Madison, Converse Judson and Smithson Valley?"
Take your pick:
Southlake Carroll
Spring Westfield
Katy
Lufkin
Copperas Cove

I would take Cove off that list right now in spite of their win over Judson and I have a lot of respect for Cove. Since I say Cove beats Lufkin, I would take them off the list. Katy will lose in the semis to SV, so you can take them off. SW will lose the other semi to Judson, so I'm eliminating them. I'm not that big of a homer to take SLC off and I say they win D2. I'll leave your list with 1 team, and that's SLC.

So you think Judson will win D1?
There's a couple of other teams out there that are very capable of beating the Rockets - Euless Trinity and A&M Conso.
