Say what you want about overall records and whatever else but think about this first. Mesquite beat three district champs this season (Lake Highlands 9-5A, Hebron 6-5A over Southlake, and Lufkin 14-5A) and doesn't even make the playoffs. 11-5A is a bloodbath every week and was a toss-up until the very end. Better watch out for these teams in the playoffs.

Mesquite was a beast. I'm still in shock Horn beat them but Horn showed signs against us. I can agree the teams are tough and they play hard but they aren't the most consistent in the playoffs. Either team can really make a run at the SHIP but I believe mistakes will end those dreams.

Okay, that is your opinion, now state some facts to back your opinion.

I wouldn't totally disagree.

11-5a is very tough and competitive.

I still STRONGLY feel 16-5a is as tough as it gets.

Not the toughest but tied with a few as the toughest.

We typically always advance our teams out of the first round of the playoffs.

Very deep deep deep playoff runs.
Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock Pflugerville in the past few years to name a few.

We always, always dominate out of district play.

Numerous D-1A and D-1AA players.

Blake Gideon (Leander), Aaron Williams (McNeil) are FRESHMAN on Texas.
Justin Allen (Cedar Park) starter on Idaho.
Jake Morrow (Cedar Park) sophmore on Air Force, he's a starter last I checked.
Tyler Smith and Quinton Smith (Cedar Park) soon to be and former legends at Rice.
Seth Patterson (Stony Point) on Western Michigan.
Zaviar Gooden (Pflugerville) Greg Nwoko (Pflugerville) on Mizzou and 'Zona respectivley.
And that is just naming very FEW of them.
And these are all players from the past few years too.

Always one or two teams high in the polls.
Stony Point right now.

Very very good district 16-5a is.

Maybe not the BEST alone, but sure is heck one of the best.
