has anyone else noticed this site to be interminably slow today? i am on a different computer than yesterday, but this dsl is slower than my dial-up.

There's definitely a problem with the forum database. I'm looking into it.

Yeah. We've got a T-3 here at work and it took me about 20 mins to get this loaded.

You know there's a problem when you play 3 games of solitare waiting for a page to load.

last night half the time, an error page would show up, this is soooooo frustrating waiting 2 min for a page to show then another 2 too post on it

I posted this on another thread, but I want to put it here so that everyone can see it...

Guys and gals,

I'm sorry for all of the frustration. The problem is with our webhost, Hostway, who also stores our database for the message board. Don't get me wrong, Hostway has been awesome...we are very happy with them, but we can't have the board going down! :D

I'm going to try and find out why this has been happening more frequently as of late and I'll do my best to try and make sure this doesn't become a regularly occurring problem.

Everything seems to be working ok now, but I'm going to keep investigating...

I got into it the forum and look around but I couldn't able to post it but I can look around. Last night had an error page, I thought this forum was hacked again.

I wasn't fustrated... because I had other things to have fun anyway so no problem with me.

I hear that IBM has some nice new servers that are really really bad to the bone. Perhaps the KT's could start charging us all say 50 bux to post here.. Just for a year. kidding.

I think it would be nice show of appreciation if after the season we all send a "love" offering so the money could be used to for the maintainence of this site.

I can't argue with you on the donation part. I know they do it for fun, but it would be a nice gesture to help the site.
