jtk says Tech has hit their peak. I say they still have room to grow. Try these on for size.
1. This is Leach's first big-time coaching job. He's had growing pains, but keeps getting better.
2. He's 74-36 and this will be his 9th bowl in 9 years. There aren't too many people with better winning percentages.
3. Leach has won at least 8 games in 7 straight years.
4. There once was a national-title winning head coach who was 41-59-1 with 2 bowls in his first 9 years as a head coach, but he's 156-41-0 since then. His name is Mack Brown.

I would like to say there is room to grow, but next year will be very transitional after most of our starters graduate, and because Crabtree will go into the NFL Draft.
Top notch recruits will see what Leach has done over his tenure at Tech, this season being the most explosive, and they will want to be a part of a program that can consistently compete with Texas and OU. The Big XII will no loner be completely dominated by the likes of those two teams anymore. Then you also have other emerging teams like OSU, Mizzou, and Kansas...Nebraska has been trying to find itself for a while now.
Anyways...recruits won't see Tech as the circus clown of the bunch anymore. If Leach stays, he can consistently put up 10 wins every year, but it may take another season or two before we counter balance the transitional period next year.

They have hit their peak because Leach will be stalking the sidelines in Seattle, Knoxville, or Clemson next year.

nope, Ill bet he's at Tech for a while.
Next year will be a big determining factor on whether or not Tech is a top tier team, or just another upper/middle of the road 8 win team. They are losing a bunch of starters, but if they can still win 9 or 10 games, they might have broken out and become a top team in the big 12, and in the nation.
