Back in '94 when Tech won the women's National Championship I noticed a billboard in Austin. I didn't think much about it, as most of my friends, who cared about such things, got together to watch the final game. I think most were behind them and Swoopes, in spite of her dealings in Austin.

In any case, I read in the paper that it was some Austin are Tech fans who bought the billboad directly facing the Erwin center to show up the Lady Horns. My opinion of them winning the title changed somewhat. I really don't root for any Texas teams any more.
