it might be interesting to see how many people are using the new tools offered by this board. specifically, i was wondering if you could tabulate how many posters are on others buddy list, and likewise how many are on the ignore lists? or maybe not.

Sherriff, I think ignoring doesn't allow PMs and I believe their name is highlighted on the board so you'd know not to read a particular post but I'm just guessing on that.

The buddy list is just for your information, so you can keep track of select posters you like. Sometimes, it is hard to remember the different names and the buddy list is there to make that easier and you don't have to search through pages of posts to find the person you wanted to contact.

What are the buddy and ignore lists?

The buddy list is used to keep track of the friends you have made on this forum. By going to "Quick Links" and then to "Open Buddy List", you'll be able to see which of your friends are currently online, and be able to send them a private message. Adding people to your buddy list also allow you to send private messages to multiple forum members at the same time. You may add any member of the forums to your buddy list by clicking this button in a member's posts.

Ignore lists are used for those people who's messages you wish not to read. By adding someone to your ignore list, those messages posted by these individuals will be hidden when you read a thread.
