Didn't see a link saying Ron Prince being fired. Thought the link on Manhattan was about NY. I was wondering why you were talking about NY.. I was like, "pied, who gives a :Censor: about NY (Syracuse) football!" :D Anyhow, so much for recruiting 18 JUCO players, this past off-season. Didn't help any. Then again, his staff hasn't helped Freeman close in on his potential. If that kid was QB'ing at LSU, he'd have LSU undefeated.
Leaf doesn't have much brain power. It's not his fault... just genetics, I guess. You take a "pain pill" from a player?? Huh?? What's that all about?? Anyhow, he's tough upstairs and that's essentially what's doomed him, thus far. He'll be a legendary Jr HS coach or something.
As a horn fan I have seen him twice and would nominate him for coach of the year both times and am personally glad to see him gone. Hard to say what's gone wrong up there, but I can say that the coaching carosuel is a bad place to be, especially up there.
Good luck with all that.

LOL. The problem is mainly recruiting and system. It's tough to recruit, to/from the Kansas area. Likewise, it's tough to get good Cali, Texas, Ga, La, Ohio  and Florida talent to go to a place like that. It's nestled away from the universe. That said, K-State never beat Texas... Texas beat Texas. Prince is good guy, but can't recruit very well and doesn't have the kind of system to see success. Perfect example, Josh Freeman is a beast, still in the making. He has a rocket for an arm and the size NFL scouts dream of, yet he's underachieving like it's nobody's business. Prince wants to go back to the days of living on JUCO doorsteps, but he may have waited too long.
Anyhow, Prince will find his way somewhere. K-State needs a marketing master to re-invent K-State and hit the recruiting trails, ASAP!
