I've seen Marcus play 3x this year.
I dont know anything about bands, but I do know they are one of my favorites. They are freaking awesome. Love that band and what they bring ot Marcus games. THey get into the games and make it an all around enjoyable experience.

For some reason Band State is every two years.

As a former band nerd I can answer this question. It's because 1A, 3A and 5A have theirs in even-numbered years and 2A and 4A have theirs in odd-numbered years.

My daughter commented that Marcus, LD Bell, Cedar Park and Churchill have the best competition marching bands. Langham Creek and Coppell have very good musicians.

Unfortunately its senior night at Coppell so the band won't be performing at halftime. They'll be introducing each senior band and drillteam member and their parents. Maybe playing the fight song.

I don't like Bowie's show this year, but we got our highest finish in our history.

Bowie's show Metropolis in 2002 was AWESOME, but only got us 8th (I think). They only took 7 to the Finals that year for some reason.

5A marching is VERY competitive. It has many extraordinarily good bands out there. PConnally was 2nd in state last yr (4A) and a semi-finalist at the "big daddy of em' all Grand Nationals in Indy, but fell short in area D finals (1st alternate:mad:) because area D is stacked with some of the best: Westlake, Bowie, Cedar Park, Churchill, Ronald Reagan, Round Rock, Leander...just like the area that Bell, Marcus etc fall into.


I liked Bowie's show this year.


JagsMom08-12......Check to see if Copp might be doing their whole show at the end of the game. That's what Connally did on their senior night. Cuz when play-offs start the show ends.

Military Bands are awesome to watch! Here's the facts though:
The band could be as good, if not better, than the Aggies Band (that band is amazing) but they will not win state...ever!

Marcus and Bell impressed as usual. I think Coppell stepped it up a notch this year. I really liked their show.
