At times you got to play with the cards that dealt. In most years I would agree with you 100%, but not this year with a team that is talented but has not gotten it together. Harlingen will give them a good game, again this is not like most years and Judson is not feared at all.

The Rockets as you once knew them are only a shell of themselves, at times it happens to the best of them.

That O'Connor team was a good team. Harlingen might be a good team or they could be a typical Valley team. Seguin was OK, but not a great team. I said underrated because they'll do more against Westfield than people think they will.

I would have to say Plano. Everyone has doubted them from the beggining of the playoffs saying they will fluke out of the playoffs. Your looking at a team that worked through critics all year and beat the odds and are favored to win a 3rd round game. Now they arn't as underrated. But definately underated even as the season wore on.

It will be hard to beat the Abilene game last year when they had to open the upper deck, but I would love to see it happen. It would be like old school vs. new school

They only received 11 votes in the championship poll on this site and only one of those votes was from a person not connected with Plano. The team is good. They have won every game they have played this year which seems to be underrated this year too as teams with losses are ranked above teams that are not blemished. I can imagine if you did not play anyone all year, but Plano beat a good SGP team that was legendary for their win over the "unbeatable, unstoppable" force known as the Trinity Trojans "the lords of the dance." Plano's resume is just as good and better than most of the 5A squads left and they are still getting no love.

I would say Plano or Berkner. Both have surprised me this postseason, and I hope both do well this week.

I dont think you can consider Garland. We may have a tough schedule this year, but everyone knows what we are capable of. We arent "flying off anyone's radar" anymore.

Berkner is underrated. They haven't really even been challenged all year (except by L Highlands) and have cleaned up so far in the playoffs against a decent Skyline team and a tough Rowlett squad.

South Garland and Garland are both underrated. Garland lost to DeSoto and Carter in close games early in the season. South had a quarterback controversy at the beginning of the year and got beat by 2 quality teams in close games and then had both Rowlett and Garland on the ropes in the 4th quarter only to turn the ball over twice to Rowlett in the final 5 minutes and couldn't stop GHS on a game winning drive.

Your right about the doormats. They are 2-35 against Plano. 1 of those wins was against the 0-10 team by 1 point.

Good for berkner. They got great running offense. Hope they don't have to pass. Benefited from a weak district and a not very challenging first 2 playoff games. Plano beat Rowlett 35-7 earlier in the year.

Hey stop setting yourself up for the region 1 final. You guys should roll by Plano. If we get by Midland we should be 3 touchdown underdogs to Carrol. You guys should pancake us.
