Garland last played a PO game at Williams in 1969, lost to eventual State champion Wichita Falls. The Owls went to the POs only three times in the next 24 years, while the isd opened five new high schools and bought hundreds of buses to abide by a Fed. ordered integration plan. Since the early 90s, Garland has been to the POs 14 of the last 16 years. This game on the 14th. was decided by a coin flip. OLD SCHOOL!
Trivia: During one PO run Garland won ALL coin flips and played all PO games at Williams, including the State Championship. What teams did they play?;)

Yep, built in 54. Rebuilt, restored, etc. many times. State of the art press box, turf, now, could use a scoreboard. Great parking, atmosphere IMO.
seats 12,500 I believe. LOTS of history!:D

Garland should bring back some of those players from the past po games, and honor them at halftime. Good luck in the PO.

Mr. Fan, you may know who Garland played the year when all POs were played at Williams. Hint: Two (at least,) future all pros were on the field that day;) for one of the games!

Did the stadium have posts to tie up the horses at last time Garland played in that old stadium? Did players wear face masks then or were the helments made of leather? Williams stadium is the worst stadium I have been in, at least we won while we were there and then left the town
with that said should be a good home field advantage for Garland

Here we go.. the Highland Park Skirts are struttin' their shaved legs, again. So, you have nothing better to do then throw some goofbombs at Williams stadium... from your 4A haven?? What's the need to constantly pat yourself on your back about the 4A level you guys "think" you dominate??

Yes it is. Either that or he'll come back with about 50 Skirts. That's the way it is.. they fight at a ratio of 25 to 1. :D :ninja:

Here goes the magic carpet ride you 4A'ers live on. C'mon son, that whole "we live in big houses and drive Beamers w/ personal license plates" thing has little affect on the 5A level. You notice he didn't respond. Now, once your whole team (not just your maid) gets big enough cojones to come up to the 5A level we can talk. But don't hide behind zone restrictions or school enrollment stats.
Think about it, kid... do you really think anyone on here really fears a bunch of skirt wearing 4A'ers whose daily recreational activity is this...

to the Garland hater, Scottie,
"What do we wipe our nose with,
Scotties....Scotties.
What do we wipe our butts with,
Scotties....Scotties."
(old chant from the senior section that still makes me laugh)
What do you mean.....we STILL have hitching posts......;)
Don't discount the value of leather helmets.....if, historically, Garland boys had used them more often, there wouldn't be so much Garland blood silently roaming the hallways of Highland Park mansions..... ;)
(there are many Highland Park girls who still cross over to the Redneck side in favor of their stuffy Scottie choices of recreational manhood.....even a HP girls wants some fun every once in a while....;))
Check your math, shaved leg, skirt wearing, dress boy.....You've lost games in Williams....last time was in 1987, 20-17 on a rainy night that had about 200 die-hard HP fans actually show up for the game......WOW...loyal fan base.......you lost to a Garland team that hadn't had a playoff team in a decade.....
There are more times than you will admit to that it sucked to be you.....:D
You hate Garland because in spite of your money, class?, influence, breeding (as far as you know anyway, right), and all time wins, we own you when games actually count for something, and your big beautiful stadium is a pretty hollow reminder of your all-time title futility.
This playoff game at Williams is a return to our Mecca for old Owls.....Williams isn't beautiful, but it's gorgeous to us and finally getting a playoff game there after all these years will pack the stadium with rednecks from all over the place who have ties to Garland and the school.
So don't worry about us, we'll be just fine with our moral victory....you guys at HP, the skirt wearers, go right ahead with your pipe dreams and await your impending and expected playoff loss that comes to you every year that Matt Stafford isn't your senior QB.....

As for Parkie women crossing over to the lower end of society, I can testify to that. Known a couple of them that would come over for a climax to a day of shopping. Now Junior League, upper end, Preston Road matrons.
