Why is there no disccussion of the Texas game this week against Baylor? I see the Horns are gonna bounce back big time and get rolling on their way back to the Big12 Champ game my preidiction Horns 55 Baylor 20. Robert Griffin will have a good game though, if I was a baylor fan I'd be pretty happy with my future. Art Briles will get them turned around and u will beat aggy. Hook 'Em.

Its only Tuesday, and the Tech game is still more prevalent right now.
Plus, its Baylor.

The next game is always the most important of the season its time for Texas to put tech behind them and look ahead to the Bears and make this the first stop on the way back to the Big12 Champ.

If Texas had won against Tech I would be slightly worried about a letdown but now that they lost they appear to be pissed. Kindle is angry... I don't think Baylor scores more than 10 points.

you dont play for the team... As a number 1 team everyone wants to kick your *** because as a number 1 team you have more to prove.
Going in thinking you're going to beat tech because your number 1 isn't enough.

I think texas' loss was just waiting to happen. Id rather see them lose now then when it matters. like a championship game. I had a feeling once we hit number 1 it was only a matter of time before we get beat. #1 spot is just haunted these days especially after last years fiasco!!

The Tech game will also be more prevalent on Saturday. That's why it's on ABC at 7!:D

They held off on announcing the TV schedule for this week last Monday just in case Tech beat Texas last week.

I think UT is looking at 11-1, a BCS bowl, and hoping for a few losses so they can sneak into the title game.

Going in thinking you're going to beat tech because your number 1 isn't enough.

I think 5 years of beating Tech and standing directly in the path of the red raiders' goals meant more to Tech as far as wanting to beat Texas. Ranking doesn't mean a whole lot, and I've said that for a long time.

Whether or not I play for them has no bearing either way.

And yes when your #1 everyone wants to beat you.

And no Texas didnt go in to the game thinking they would win because they were #1.

No you can't. If Texas wants any hopes of having a higher BCS average in case of a three way tie with Tech and OU/OSU we need to win much bigger than that. 20 point victories over teams under .500 won't cut it. We need to be winning the rest of our games by 6+ touchdowns and apparently it doesn't matter how many points we give up as long as we score a ton and keep a huge margin of victory. (see OU for details, they have a #1 vote and are ahead of us in human polls)

With our defense, its gonna be hard to do that... I do think we can put up alot of points though.. Mack needs to keep everyone on the field for 4 qtrs..

It shouldn't be that hard to shut teams down. Outside of the last second touchdown, safety, and the interception touchdown Tech only scored 23 points in that game and none in the second half.

The thing that really matters is putting up a ton of points. We need to string 70 on Baylor and win like we did the Big XII championship in '05. That kind of a win will get us some votes.

I'm hoping we can get up on the bears quick and let some of our Hosses lay up and lick a wound or two and let the young Horns lay down a few licks on the bears and get some reps.
