View Full Version : USC & Florida are best teams!

Based on talent, depth and offense and defense, as well as HCs, I think I'd pick these teams to beat anyone in a playoff. I would love to see these teams with different offensive styles match up in Miami, which would give Florida a HUGE HFA, kinda like Miami and LSU had when the bowls were played in their home states. SC has played the 22, 13 and 9th best offenses, yet have the top defense in D1 and a balanced pro-style offense. Florida is the best at running the spread option and they have a top 15 defense. This would be a great game! Do you honestly think UT could beat these guys with a month prep?

Texas, Tech, OU, and even Okie Lite would all give either of those two team a real run for their money. I'd bet UT/TTU/OU to win 4-6 out of 10 against either of 'em.

As long as Oregon State and Ole Miss aren't in it, you'd have to like their chances.
That's another good thing about a playoff. You don't have to be up for every game. It's hard to do for three months.

NO DEFENSE! The stats don't lie! Great defense is great defense! The Big 12 is the WAC/PAC 10 of 10 years ago! Who has the Big 12 beaten in non-conference? Nobody, because they played soft schedules! The Big 12 is OVERRATED and no team plays defense good enough to win a title! They might play in the BCS game, but if they play Florida, Bama, PSU or SC, they are gonna come back home with the L!

My best friend is a Penn State fan. He doesn't think they have a shot vs. the Big 12 or SEC in a bowl. Neither do I.
As far as 'bama goes, they won't beat Florida or the top Big 12 teams.

Therein lies the key. I think the Trojans and Gators have great teams, but they blew it by losing. They might not get a chance to play for a title this year.

Ill put a wager on it smart guy. If a Big 12 team faces off with any of the teams you seem to think have great defense...and comes out with a win...you are gone from this site for a year.

You seem pretty convinced that the Big 12 is overrated, and seem to think that any defense besides a big 12 defense could do a better job slowing down 5 of the top offenses in the Big 12...so, if you are so confident...take me up on the wager.
Any Big 12 team in the NC game vs. ANY SEC or Big 10 team.. Tell you what, even if the Big 12 wins, if any of those teams can hold them to 14pts or less...you don't have to go.
If a Big 10 team or SEC win...i will leave for a full calender year.

The Bible has pretty clear instruction on lying. LOL - just a little joke there.
USC plays great defense against Wash. State - no doubt. Pac 10 is loaded with athletes that go nowhere after college.

It is easy to pretend like you have a solid defense when you are lining up against 1-8 Washington State, 0-9 Washington, and 2-5 Arizona State. Some tough opponents right there... it is a wonder how USC managed to end that stretch undefeated.
I would much rather play #1 Oklahoma, #6 Okie Lite, #6 Tech, and #11 Missouri than that daunting schedule.

If he takes it, i am sure as hell in for that one. I can keep my end of the deal, can he? I have enough confidence in any of the Top Big 12 teams to put it to any other team in the country in a MNC game...

The defensive stats are not against the Big XII's favor because all of the teams have explosive offenses. If USC and Florida played in the Big XII, their defensive stats would be down, too.
