They have the best Defensiveline by far in the Big 12. All year they said in Lubbock they have a defense to go along with the offense well they do. It was bitter sweet to see McKinner celebrate the big win, but make no doubt about it im a Horn fan. Tech outplayed Texas for nearly the entire game, and credit Harrell he just might be the best QB in the country.

hats off to tech, they came in ready to play. Texas didn't play like the number 1 team and sure hell deserved the loss as much as i would love to win.

mcKinner is right at the top of the list of impact players for Tech. he has been playing like a man on a mission. This defense would be a little bit less effective without him.

there are faster guys.
There are bigger guys.
there are guys with better hands.
there are some that try to block downfield every so often.
there's team leaders out there.
Crabtree does all of those combined better than anyone else.. IMO, of course.:D

That guy opposite of McKinner Brandon Williams I think is his name reminds me of Dwight Freeny alot. Not the biggest strongest guy but man is he super fast off the edge.
I tell you what Slorch your boys knocked me off my coud 9 high from the Lufkin and Woodlands game, but Tech deserved it.

Sometimes...that's the way it happens...
No pre-season praise...
No recognition of the chemistry...
And it just works...

...
Besides...
I am always pulling for the underdog...:D

You might not be the favorite on the road against Oklahoma but you will definitely be favored against Okie Lite this weekend.

Tech's defense has been a steady improvement. Dixon and Williams were a fairly known commodity but with the additions of Sesay and Whitlock the middle is very solid. Henley should be back to full power for the Okla.St. game.
That was a great game. Texas made a great 2nd half comeback and Malcom Williams is a tremendous threat...big, fast and freshman.

Whitlock played well as a freshman last year. he just wasn't getting ink from the Phil Steeles and dave Campbells of the world.
Whitlock played awesome in the Gator Bowl!

No doubt Tech played a better game than Texas did and deserved the win but a last second missed tackle away from a loss doesn't register as an *** kicking in my book.

The front seven of Tech played awesome, and how about Charbonnet!?.
Whitlock was a beast the first three qtrs - but they were gassed in the end - totally. Of course, so was UT on the final drive.

Not an a** kicking to be sure, but Tech dominated in most statistical categories. You can talk about "one missed tackle away", but Texas was also one 91 yard pass and one punt return away from a brutal beatdown.
Tech was simply a better team last night.
