So, who's in the driver's seat in the South? Obviously Tech - but, what if they lose to OU? What if they lose to OSU, but beat OU?

If Tech loses to OSU but beats OU (as well as beats baylor the week after), they will go to the big 12 title game thanks to the head-to-head rule.

If Tech beats OSU but loses OU, and assuming OU wins out, they will most likely go to the Big 12 title game. Texas not playing anymore ranked opponents is going to hurt them here, despite they're great run of 3-1 that just occured. If OU beats Tech, they will jump Texas in the BCS, if they haven't already.

Tech 1 loss - beat UT
UT 1 loss - beat OU
OU 1 loss - beat Tech

I guess that does mean OU goes - but, it is confusing.

if there's a 3-way tie at the end of this, the highest ranked BCS team gets a nod.

which, if it happens, is going to be ugly....

So, you celebrate the greatest year in conference history with a toast to a computer? I'm gonna be sick.

love/hate relationship.

Big 12 should send 4 teams to BCS games instead of 2. Bama and Florida should be in a BCS game. USC and Penn State...should not be in the NC game...just stick them in the Rose Bowl where they belong

In a game between Ok.ST. or Texas Tech vs USC. Who would you favor, and would you be willing to put some money on that game?

Two thirds of the BCS rankings is human polls - Harris and Coaches.

The computer rankings balance the bias of some sports writers and coaches.

Tech obviously has the inside track.

Six scenarios that I could think... in order of likelihood...may have repeated a couple... quite confusing...

1. Tech beats Okie Lite and loses to Oklahoma. Oklahoma loses to Okie Lite - Tech and Texas a 7-1. Tech has head-to-head. Tech is in.

2. Tech wins out. Tech is in.

3. Tech beats Okie Lite and loses to Oklahoma. Oklahoma beats Okie Lite - Texas, Oklahoma, and Tech are all tied 7-1. Oklahoma will probably get the nod with a higher BCS average.

4. Tech loses to Okie Lite and Beats Oklahoma. Okie Lite beats Oklahoma. Texas, Okie Lite, and Tech are tied at 7-1. I'm gonna say Texas on this one having a higher BCS average.

5. Tech loses to Okie Lite and beats Oklahoma. Okie Lite loses to Oklahoma. Texas and Tech are tied. Tech has head-to-head. Tech is in.

6. Tech loses to Okie Lite and Oklahoma. If this happens doesn't matter what happens to Oklahoma and Okie Lite. Texas is in.

It appears if Tech loses UT will most asuuredly have the higher BCS average.... #4 Pollsters may not love us but Mr. BCS does

What if OU and Texas win out, and OSU loses to OU and Tech?

Then you have Texas, OU, and Tech tied at the top...who goes then?

whoevers ranked highest in the BCS polls. which if everything planned out that way (and texas blows out it's opponents like it should) texas would get the nod.

This is ridiculous...
seriously if OU and Texas both win out (which could happen) OU will probably be in the National Championship game and (if Texas DOES play in the Big 12 Championship and win) they would be in a BCS game also...Now if Texas and OU both blow out their opponent should Texas get a share of the title having beat OU?

This is just a scenario I was thinking about earlier today.

With the BCS who knows what to expect you know...
