As much as I dislike the Longhorns, I can't seem to come up with any logical reason as to why USC should be ranked ahead of Texas.

because ap voters love them, and because early losses hurt less, except the case woth ou going to the nc after losing in the big12 champioinship

Because Texas just lost and USC just won by 102 points...;)
All that matters is the BCS.....;)

of course, losing to an unrated team at home by a bunch is less damaging than a last second loss on the road to a top 10 team. at least if you are the media darling condoms, it is.

All you TU fans talk about how everyone loves USC... but they love TU just as much if not more... its sickening, really... its like the Yankees and Red Sox

no media love notre dam, ohio, sec teams, and usc. No media outlet jumped on the texas wagon till we were number 1.

thats why about five years before they won the NC they were constantly in the top ten even if they couldnt beat OU and werent very good...

You obviously don't watch USC play if you think they lost at home.;) Another thing is they didn't lose by a bunch. They lost by 6.

they lost to roughly the equivilent of Kansas State in Manhatten...
hardly the same as losing in a barnburner in Lubbock

Oregon State would beat K-State. I think their closer to a Kansas. Never did I say they should be ranked higher than Texas. Although if Texas-USC played not many people would bet Texas on a pick game.
You do know the only thing I did was correct Dragon from all the false information he spewed.

Well, many voters are bias towards USC... always have been. That said, Texas just lost in the last seconds of the game vs a Top 10 opponent. USC has just finished 2 weeks of beating teams (WSU and WU) that are the equivalent of a good 3A Texas HS football teams. Hell, they could score 500 pts vs them... but they still have yet to beat an opponent above the level of Ohio State. (Which isn't saying much.)

We might get a USC vs Big 12(Texas or Texas Tech) or SEC opponent(Bama or Florida) in the Rose Bowl if Penn State goes undefeated.

aggy would blow wasu and the huskies out of the water, which isn't saying much, except that the pac-10 sucks big balls. hell, i'll even give ISU a fair amount of wins against that crap conference.
it's easy to roll in a bowl game when you haven't been challenged all year. come to think of it, ive never really seen usc play physical for some time now....

Bad luck for the b12 all the way around. LSU wins the ball last year with two losses and three butt-ugly wins.
