I have been to the Waco ISD stadium on several occasions, but when I went over to Round Rock to see the Cove/Leander game I was surprised. I had no idea that they had a new stadium or that it would be so huge. I saw the Denton Stadium on TV. How many more comparable stadiums are there in Texas? What else have I missed? I know there are alot of nice smaller stadiums I am not asking about those.

Does the scoreboard at the Waco ISD stadium support three digit scores? The boys from Cove say they're going to need it.

thanks,

If I remember correctly from Saturday it does not. I don't know what they will do in that situation. :D

I would not call an 11,000 capacity stadium HUGE. That is a very nice stadium and it is big.

HUGE would be in the 15K to 20K capacity range I would think.

Very nigh stadium though.

they need to add to some of the schools because of over crowding, then maybe, they'll add to DS, but that wont be for a while id imagine

Cy-Fair ISD's new (2nd one) will be open for business this next year. 11,000 seats (with arms & backs). About average size for metropoliton areas, but it is really going to be a pretty place. Will be a nice place for the kids to play. As it gets closer to completion I will try to link some pictures of it.

I wish we could update ours a bit in Tigerland. But to get one of these mega-HS stadiums, you have to have multiple schools share it. Then you start having to play on Thursdays or Saturdays. I would just prefer that they sink a bit more money in more rows with backs.

Alamo Stadium aka "The Rock Pile" is the largest "true" high school stadium in the State of Texas. It was built as a high school stadium back in the 1920's and seats 23,000. It may not have the nicest asthetics compared to some of the newer stadiums but it is the "Mecca" of Texas High School Football. When you play on that field you can feel the history all around you. This becomes obvious when you see the life size statues of the all americans that have played there in years gone by.

Well hell we can just start it back over at one and put a lil tally next to it if that will work for garland and lufkin, since yall are gangin up on Cove now. Im thinkin yall are gettin a lil scared before we even get to the Garland game. i believe who ever wins the Cove/Garland game wins the R2 Championship
