cy fair cant play with 'em, if it were a better judson team i would pick them just knowing their rap sheet, but its not, euless trinity v westfield in the final probably, i would say berkner would have to step it up quite a bit to beat trinity. i dont see trinity stoping westfields offfense, thus i take the vanilla vote and pick the higher ranked team

DI -- who cares? 2 teams are good, Westfield and Trinity. The rest are a joke. Put the DI teams against DII and it will be ugly. Don't you know that Trinity is happy SLC went to DII? Comparatively speaking only, Trinity struggled with Fossil Ridge who SLC put 50+ on. SLC pounded Irving Mac (41-0 halftime score) and IMAC played Trinity to within 1 score. SLC would have a difficult time stopping the big running game of Trinity. However, the SLC defense would stop them a few times. On the other hand, SLC offense would kill Trinity's pass defense. Eventually being behind by 21 points would cause Trinity to abandon their game plan, well...the rout would be on. Fossil Ridge's Coach, Hal Wasson, when asked to compare the 2 schools stated, "both teams are extremely talented, but Carroll would win by 3-4 td's."

Actually outside of my boy Gritty, Trinity and its fans could give a flying f*ck about Southlake or the rest of D2. But we are getting quite a kick about how obsessed Southlake posters like urself r with seeing how Southlake measures up with Trinity :D .

I don't understand your post...I'm not a fan of either team but It seems to me that SLC which has won 2 of the last 3 titles would not need to measure up to Trinity but it would be the other way around. :confused:

If you don't care, than shut up - TrojanHorse03 is correct - aside from gritty - we don't care about SLC - we could have scored another td on IMAC but took a knee at the end of the game - kinda like we did against FRidge - unlike SLC we don't care if we win by 5 touchdowns!
We are taking it one game at a time - we are thinking El Paso for the moment. We will talk about the championship game when we get there.

It's ALMOST Like Tyler Lee last year they were able to hold up a state championship trophy but everyone felt that they would not have made the semis in D2. I said almost because THIS YEARS Westfield is much better than last years Tyler Lee ever thought about being. The similarity occurs in that to get respect for your championship you have to be the one to knock off SLC. Fair, not fair, I don't care, it's just how it is.

Good morning folks! Trojan you know I'm Trojan all the way. Could care less what happens in Southlake. They are their own world and I argue with them most of the time in defense of my trojans.They have us losing most of the time though have you noticed. Tell you the truth I don't think those little Dragons could stand up to our big (out of shape as they have been called) haha! linemen. People don't believe the shape these big guys are in. Let's get ready for El Paso and take them 1 at a time.PEACE TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
This show is OVER boys and girls. I think Westfield could beat the Houston Texans at this point. After viewing the game against a VERY good North Shore team, aint nobody even close to this caliber in D1. Thank goodness they didnt go to D2.

How can people make the case that D1 is over send the trophy to Westfield. Have you folks had the chance to see anybody else but Westfield?? There's some pretty good teams left in the playoff's. If you can tell me if they have a website? Don't know much about them. Yaw are very excited down there so fill us in on them. Do they run, pass,etc. Thanks :D :D

I'd venture to guess there are a lot of other teams that fell to other D1 survivors that would argue with your statement.
Look at the records of the D1 teams left. Most have 2 or fewer losses. You don't get to the final 8 if you are a joke. Your statement is just ignorant, immature and idiotic. Grow up and get rid of your rose-colored glasses. :rolleyes:

Spring Westfield should win this and I have seen them in State Championship game and they were good in the 4th Quarter when they came up 21 points when Tyler Lee was leading 28-7 in 1st half. Westfield got to win the Division 1 since they have alot returners back.

When you start watching other teams play games that your team isn't in, you see how good they are and that good football is played all over the state.
There might be 3 mismatches in D1 this week, but those 2 semifinal matchups next week will be very good and that will show you that there are multiple top teams out there.

Westfield is really good obviously. However, if Judson gets passed Harlingen this week, I think they have a legit shot at Westfield. If it is at Judson, the fans will be all over this one. Rocket Pride can match up to any team's talent, even with four losses. This is a new team, and any fan can see that.

Hell, traveling 200 miles west on I 10 is like getting on the tollroad in Texas City and traveling to Katy via I 10. That's not a feat for a Houston school. It would be for us because we aren't used to that much butt time on a bus.

I was thinking the same thing....it would probably be a quicker trip to SA compared to trying to get across town.

Westfield should win the title... hands down.... they beat the only team that could stay with them for 4 quarters..... and now.. its all about them staying focused and playing thier game.... they have the team to do it.... i wish them the best of luck... :eek:

Yes, they run, pass and play defense. They have what it takes to win it all. And it doesn't matter who they play D1 or D2. They are capable of beating any team put in front of them including SLC.

right now, i'd say there are about 6-8 teams capable of beating anybody, including slc. sw is definitely at the top of that list, but i'd be very afraid of a wounded giant in coju. they know how to win when it counts.

That is definitely a possibility. They showed some fight in last years game. Ididn't stay for the second have because of prior commitments, and was shocked when I saw the final score.

That game could've been a lot different if Judson had not fumbled on that 4th and 1. That, the INT for a TD, the big run that was called back for holding, and other stuff played into Judson getting so far behind.
