if you havnt heard at hays and lufkin game. before half time on a fade route the lufkin reciver jumped for the ball and hit a few rebel band members heres the clip of it it come around the 30 sec mark

Haha yea i saw that on the news that night. Its a good thing nobody was hurt because Bryant came at about 100 mph.

Yeah, I help out with the Abilene High band...

I always make sure to keep the kids away from the sidelines...I do not want them, or their expensive instruments, getting hurt.

hahahahaha thats pretty funny..but hope everyones fine! cause that'll probally end up happening to someone in our band and that looked like it hurt A LOT..against DR, mckay almost ran into one of my friends, and against midland lee, one of the drum majors i think it was caught a ball, poorly miss thrown out of bounds

It was actually quite scary if you see the replay. Gary Stallard of the Lufkin Daily News interviewed the girl hit. Says she stands about 5' tall. Glad she wasn't hurt seriously - she was definitely a trooper - said it was her fault for not paying attention. Not sure how Dez got banged up on the play but he was not 100% afterwards.

You'd think band directors would learn not to line up their kids and equipment so close to the field.
