To me this was our last year to contented in the playoffs we will lose some great starters this yea in amadeus waters and nash but next year we got an ok qb in brooks pinkard and a 5'5 rb in darrel brown but defensive captian taylor keith is know for his hits in central texas. but we might go to 4a which would suck but we would have a schuled like katy does and not a challenge till playoffs

Special thank to the Hays Rebels for playing a good, clean game against Lufkin. Good luck to you boys next year.
You're right, Lufkin has always had a history of fan support.
Our high school football stadium (Abe Martin Memorial Stadium) holds a lot of fans. It's not uncommon to fill the home side and have a spill-over to the visitor side with Panther fans.
Not a lot of difference with out of town games. We love road trips and make a lot of fun out of it.
Lufkin has an outstanding Alumni Club and they are very supportive. not to mention the Panther Mother's Club.
Many local businesses get together and assist with expenses that the school can't cover.
We love it.
Again, good luck next year.

My Analysys:
Pinckard is like all our qb's before nash, runs great dosent thrown great. we will probly be in a districts where canyon and lake travis will be our only challenges.i think the think that wil make or break our season is non-district,i think we should schedule some tough non-district games to get the guys ready ex:Conollay,SC,San Marcos.if we win 2 of those i think we could have a good ueat

As with every year, I'm not ever sure whether or not we will be good the next year. But I've been proved wrong every year, Tommy Garcia was a great QB and led us to 9-3, I wasn't sure who was going to step up last year, but Ryan Kimbro stepped up along with Chris Moore, 8-3. Coming into this year I had no idea whether or not this senior class could lead, but they sure have. Everyone talks about Nash and Amadeus, but I really think that Karl Sontag was a huge leader for this team. He plays tough and with a lot of emotion. Brooks will step up @ QB for sure next year. The whole backfield and WR corps is gone next year except for Darryl Brown. Hunter Bohm will step up at TE and be a leader next year, but where I would be concerned is at Kicker. Who do we have that will be able to kick next year, recruit from the soccer team? Everyone gave Brandon O'Dell crap all year because he missed 2 key kicks, but he was consistant all year long, what happens when you don't have consistancy? I would say if we were staying in 5A next year that we would have some serious problems, but I think going back down to 4A will be good for next season, hey maybe we can dominate 4A like we once did back in the 90's.
