Jerrod lives his fathers dream (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/fbc/6086990.html)

His dad would be proud. I know our Community is...regardless of his loyalties to A&M (an A&M town anyway, I'm a loner anyway..lol)

Jerrod Johnson = Awesome.:notworthy I've been extremely impressed with Johnson this year, and I was a pretty big McGee fan. Johnson is definitely the better choice for the job.

The kid is a beast. Too bad A&M wont reach a Bowl game this year. He has 2 more years to make things happen. A&M's offense could actually be pretty good in 2009. Sherminot is the only brick in the middle of the road... that and about 5 or 6 other good Big XII teams.

Damn, those stripes on the pants (in the photo), is killin' me folks. Sweet mother of mercy.. thanks FranCHOKEY.

He as a sophomore is already breaking school records...and is playing very impressive with no line to speak of, and an inexperienced WR core. They could be a legit offensive threat next season, and seem to have no problems hanging up yards on opponents. In High School i saw that he was greatly under utilized and could of been so much more...i really believe that had we had a Running back that season (reggie brown was out with ACL tear) we would of been in the state title game. Jerrod is just one of those freaks that can make a lot happen on his own, give him a supporting cast...and big things can happen.

and yes the stripes are horrible.

JJ seems like a well grounded young man and I am glad he plays for the Aggies. Would hate to have him somewhere else.

I also vote against stripes.

His parents did a great job. Both of their sons are very well grounded.

His Brother Marquis is a Former DE for Prairie View and currently the Strength and Condition coach at Eastern Michigan....If he is half the coach his dad was, he will have a job as a defensive coor. at the college level in a couple of years. Or maybe a Head football coach for Humble?????? :D

Im all for letting McGee play.... or I was... JJ has simply just impressed me beyond anything I was expecting. With a year under their belt (the line and Wr's) we really could have a pretty impressive off.

I'd still start mcgee against TU... but thats just me... he seems to be their kryptonite

Perhaps their kryptonite in a Option offense, Id go ahead and just let the gunslinger have his shot against Texas. You'll need to outscore Texas in order to beat Texas, cause Lord knows that defense isn't going to stop anyone.

But hey if they want to start McGee....goooood

McGee is 2-1 against TU... almost 3-0,

McCoy is 0-2 against A&M.

I would start McGee... but im betting McGee doesnt see the field ever again...

Hum is right (did I just say that?)
Start Johnson against the Horns. He needs to play against the best to understand what it will take to be the best IMO. I like McGee but this year needs to be used for playing those players that will be coming back next year. This is nothing more than a rebuilding year but I am very happy with the progress.....offense wise anyway.

+1 for me...

Several reasons why the coaching staff would start Johnson over McGee..

McGee just isn't the passer that Jerrod is...Not to say that he couldn't have been, but fran messed that dude up.

McGee CAN'T survive behind a line that allows front sevens to walk through it like the US-Mexican border. Johnson can...and he can throw for 300+ while he is at it.

Let him play against the best, and let him develop into potentially the a great QB.

Funniest thing I've heard in a while. :notworthy
