Alabama Defense (1979), Notre Dame Defense (1973), and a ton of offenses from programs like Boise State, more Nebraska offenses, BYU, Kansas State (1998) and etc. There's been a ton of great units. I'm sure many of the Big XII offenses, this year, will soon make a list like this.

Hard for me to respond, because I remember the offenses much more. I'll only comment on a few.

2005 Texas Offense (652 pts/13 games/50.2 ppg) vs 2000 Oklahoma Defense (194 pts/13 games/14.9 ppg)-Give me the Texas offese in a big way. Not that the ou defense was bad, but I don't think they would know what to do w/the varied attack that the Texas O would bring. Not really like anything they faced although the players you mention had speed.

Got to disagree with you on Nebraska and Texas A&M. players from '83 just don't match up well against that 97 defense. as far as Texas A&M, i can see them pulling it out...But the condoms had a lot going for them with that offensive unit...
