We all know that Texas is the best team in Texas, but who do you think is #2? It could be up for debate. My opinion:
#2: TCU
#3: UTEP
#4: Texas Tech

I would very seriously put Texas State ahead of aggy.
seeing how one team has improved every week and the other continues to take steps back and have all of their players injured. I would like to see ATM go to a pseudo Bowl where they play Texas State again, this time at bobcat field. Maybe they can sell out then

any team that Aggy blows out should not be able to beat the second best team in Texas. Therefore the second best team is TCU

Texas Tech is the 2nd best college D-1 team in the state, followed closely by TCU. Baylor and A&M are a toss-up followed by SMU, UTEP, Houston, then Rice.

UTEP has been in the AP poll off and on, how can they behind aggy?

UTEP's record is deceptive at best. The UAB game wasn't anywhere near as the score would indicate. While their conference strength is out of their hands, they would have finished much worse in the Big 12, SEC, ACC, ect...
I do like UTEP however and this is not a knock on them, I just feel they are behind A&M and Baylor in talent. They have good schemes on both sides of the ball but have shown to be suspect in the speed department. In coaching, UTEP has a major advantage over A&M but I still feel that UTEP will give up the big plays a little too often as they have done several times this season. More importantly, UTEP loses with ball control on the ground. A&M could in fact control this game on the ground. UTEP gives up on average of 3.7 ypc. But again, it is just my opinion. The question was, "Who do you think is the 2nd best team in Texas." I just went further than 2nd in my opinion.
