Game predictions

Shoemaker @ Ellison: Shoemaker by 7, This will be a very tough game. Shoemaker has a very good offense that can run and throw. Ellison is a run based offense that doesn't throw the ball much. Shoemaker has more athletes and is a faster team. Ellison must control the line of scrimmage and the clock to win. I don't think they can against Shoemaker. If Shoemaker wins they are in the playoff hunt and control their own future.

Temple @ Belton: Temple by 1, I say one because I really don't know how this one will go. Temple has been able to jump out to leads in the first half of games and seem to be hanging on in the second half. Belton has been makeing great adjustments for the second half of their games and being in it until the end. I think Temple must get a hugh lead in teh first half to win this game. If Belton keeps the first half close they could pull off the win. This game may come down to turnovers and penalties or who has the ball last. If Belton loses they are pretty much out of the playoff hunt. Could they have more to play for?

Bryan @ Harker Heights: Bryan by 7, Bryan and Heights are both playing for pride since both schools are pretty much out of the playoff picture. Bryan must slow down the Heights skill players. Bryan must execute and control the line of scrimmage. Heights must use it's speed to compensate for Bryan's size. I think Bryan size will eventually wear out Heights and Bryan wins in the second half.

Cove @ A&M: Cove by 14, Cove's offense didn't play well aagainst Shoemaker and Cove scored 31 points. The issues of last week will be fixed. A&M had a 7 point win over Harker Heights. A&M must control the line of scrimmage and keep Cove's offense off of the field. That will be difficult since Cove has the best defense in the district and has only given up 64 points in 5 district ganes (12.8 Points/Game). If A&M can do that they game shold be closer thatn 14 points. If A&M has turnovers and 3 & outs it will get ugly for them. A&M is a good solid team that is well coached and I expect their play to be somewhere between these two scenarios. Cove will be back at almost full strength with Byrd coming back after being out the past couple of weeks. Cove's offense will execute better and their defense will play to their standard. Cove pulls away in the second half.

I don't know about the QB situation at bryan, but i know his back-up #9 will do just fine against heights defense. I saw bryan earlier in the season and #9 and # 2 rotated, so #9 has experience. He is fast and will run all over heights. Heights is allowing over 420 yrds a game.

That's cool, not for number two. They had to carry him off the field. 9 came in and looked like he could not throw real well. Just another cat that can run, just what Belton needs:rolleyes:

The QB will not be back. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL and is done for the year. The backup will be just fine. Its really been a semi-rotation all year long anyway.

Oh, and believe it or not, Bryan is not out yet. If they win out, Belton beats Temple, and Bryan beats Belton by more than 11, they're in...its a lot but not impossible.

Thanks for the info on the QB. Glad you are pulling for Belton this week, but selfishly I hope ya'll dont beat them next week;).

I hope #2 heals up though, our prayers are with him.

Bryan is a tough team. Very surprised at their record. They only allowed temple 300 total yards. They are big and physical. I don't see bryan losing another game. Now if that is enough or not, i don't think so, because temple should win out
