as some of you might know I had something scary happen to me... in which I believe my life could have been taken away... a week later and the emotional damage outweights any type of physical damage I've ever gone through...
I feel like the people who followed me will come back and I can not sleep... I think I have a minor form of PTSD... I'm usually not one to label myself with a problem because I think you can overcome anything with time and support...
but this is different... If I hear anytype of noise outside of my place I have to look outside... my awarness of noises has gone up and I'm so paranoid it's crazy...
then I thought to myself... If someone punching me in the middle of night will cause this amount of paranoia, anxiety, and stress... I can't even Imagine what our troops feel like when they are out there in the middle of nowhere with no Mother or Father and at the same time... your being physically drained with everything you have to carry... you have people screaming orders at you... its just a scary situation to have to go through...
so anyone with a kid in the troops or anyone with a friend in the troops... talk to them and make sure they are ok... and when I say OK... I mean emtionally OK... physical scars will heal over time... but emotional scars could live forever...

why?
cause I know I rub some people the wrong way... and I know you do a great job of supporting our troops... I may only know you on a message board... but I know your a good dude...
so sorry for everything that I have said that might have offended you or anyone else that might have family in the military... although I do not like killing or physical violence but in some cases it is needed for protection...
Tomorrow I'm going to let all my close friends know how lucky I am to have them... I can honestly say this traumatic incident of mine has changed me...

Na bro you have never offended me. And I try to support our troops as much as I can, but I'm def not the most supportive. I have lost friends because of murder, car accidents, war, suicide and disease etc and it's always hard each and every time. You can't take every day for granted, and as much as I might complain about the day, about work or school, I am thankful to be able to work and go to school. I am lucky and I know it because there are plenty of times I could have been standing in a different place and been dead instead of a friend.

you now understand the difference, if only in the slightest way, between rhetoric and experience.
Alot of crap, especially around the political realm sounds good, until you have to live it. Killing a baby, gun control, "wealth redistribution," getting rid of God( at least in theory,) and disdain for the military are all things that people don't understand until they actually come to a point in their lives where they have to live it and realize the emotions and ramifications involved...
