Gee, I was hoping it would be Strake or Humble as the last opponent standing if Katy makes it to game 4.
This round took all the smack out of my sails. All my one-liners won't work on CyFalls or LaPorte.
Oh well. I'm going back to the depot to load more coal. :D

I would have loved to see a Strake v. Katy matchup in the playoffs, but I don't really think anyone is questioning how that would have turned out. All this does is give Strake less of a reason to run their mouths next season.

The state playoffs are always fun. We have some good Cy Falls and La Porte supporters on this board so I'm sure you'll come up with something.
However, Katy's focus is on West Brook right now. Will be good to get back to Rice Stadium and get a good crowd in there.

Yeah where is Strake Drake any way?
For that matter where is that loud mouthed coach of theirs bugging the media everyday to try and get a feature run on his team.
I don't live in Houston any more, but I read the Chronicle everyday and watch the Houston news. The constant media blitz about Strake was getting nausiating. ;)

Since the team's preseason stated goal was to make the playoffs, I would think that by upsetting FB Marshall (I didn't think it was an upset) in the 1st round and giving a good CyFalls team all they wanted in the 2nd round, the team gave its fans more reason to "run their mouths", not less.
But, while we were certainly proud of our team, "run their mouths" means to me that Strake Jesuit followers were making outlandish predictions for the team or belittling the ability or accomplishments of other teams... I haven't seen a pattern of that by SJ fans on ANY forum, in any paper, or in person...
I realize some people love to hate and they will never change, I just wish they could do so with a little more intellectual honesty...

Harder to post because I don't know a lot about the teams, towns, or players left in the playoffs. I'm not going just make something up, especially about another person or team, just to participate on a thread...
But, I could post more on some of these threads if I had had the sources of information many of you apparently have... Coach Counter has been bugging the Houston Chronicle to do stories on his team? Hmmm... Thats the first I've heard of that! Do you mind sharing your source(s) for some of the dirt you dig up? You know, so many more of us can degrade people on the boards.
You DO have verified knowledge of these things you say about people, don't you? I mean, you're not so small that you'd post something like that based on just assumptions fueled by animosity, would you?

This may not be the correct thread do this in but, a lot of Katy Fans really enjoyed attending and supporting Strake Jesuit and 19-5A at both their play off games. I would like to publicly thank all the Strake Jesuit fans that attended and supported Katy and 19-5A in their last two playoff games.

Strakedrake, don't pay any attention to pantherstang. He just wants to stir the pot. Strake has plenty to crow about, not eat crow as some have to. Their season was very impressive for their second year and all of the adversity. A season like this is only used as fuel for the next. I don't think you will be short of that when preparing for next season.
rellufnalla, just have to look forward to next week. There will be plenty for our Tigers to handle in that game. Besides, beating Strake or Humble (again) may not be as exciting as seeing new faces in our state championship run. I still think we are in for a lot of fun. And all of the teams left are looking forward to the opportunity to beat Katy or win Region III.
