Yes it would be grand, wouldn't it? However, we shouldn't waste time with threads like this as both teams have a bunch of business to take care of for that to happen. Let's just take it one game at a time.

I really doubt this matchup will happen...believe me, my mind is fully on cove...do tehy have a team website or anything?

I don't think South is under the radar anymore, Lufkin will most likely take care of business. Good luck to both teams though!

Are you or have you ever been an athlete? If so you wouldn't discount people that you haven't seen. Been watching GHS football for a lot of years now and I tell you one thing with certainty......They will be at the stadium, and they will play hard no matter if they are the favorite or the underdog. Personnally I think they like to be the underdogs, and according to all the cove fans on all these threads they are just that. I hope you guys are as good as you think you are.....it will make this game that much sweeter. Good Luck

Just keep thinking that about Lufkin, we are ranked #3 for a reason. That and we're undefeated, unlike S. Garland.

Plus Jaime won't miss as many kicks as the Longview kicker did.

theres no way that HBJ will be able to hold the turn out.. if and when it happens it will be Texas stadium or smu... good luck owls give'm hell.. its gunna take some heart but i think that if south gets its head in the game like we did against longview we have a shot at these hicks...:D

Watch it with the "hick" stuff man. I would love to see South make us proud, but, I know those folks in the woods play some. South has not seen what Lufkin will show you. Good luck. From a Garland hick.

Good luck vs. the Cove. Looking at the side by side stats in the School Day part of the DMN it looks pretty even. I think SG has a shot at winning but it will take some breaks like in the Longview game and every side of the ball (offense, defense and special teams)has to be at the top of their game.
