I think my boys at SV are looking dominant right now especially after that win first john jay who was supposed to be a strong competitor. They were good but SV is just obviously better. I think the rangers have a real shot to take it this year and will!

I think the SV vs Madison rematch will turn out much like the first. I thought Madison had elevated there play, but it seems to be temporary. Clark was not that great this year. Jay was district champ for a reason. SV dominated Jay and I believe they will dominate Madison in the region finals.

I actually voted for SLC. Though I would be perfectly happy if the dragons found themselves unable to blow fire in the State Final.

A public poll does away with some of the bias, but the polls where you pick who will lose first eliminates a lot of the bias because people cannot vote for their team. If you made a public poll that stated you cannot vote for your team then you would be able to see if someone cheated. There are a few ways to eliminate the bias

I almost went with Garland in the last round. I only went against them because they lost to Carter this year. If Carter had played another team in non-district, I would've picked Garland. It was a tossup game for me and sometimes I'll get them wrong. Hey, you might be better than me and I'm always willing to see other people pick the games.

I think it will be out of two team...SLC or Lufkin... SLC has a dominance over teams that is unbelievable, even good ones htat have another gear that seems to always show up. Lufkin hasn't looked nearly as dominant but they have a no quit attitude that wills them into winning games(and if they get into their stride, which they will against SG :eek: ) who ever wins out of the semifinal round (provided it happens)...I can't see them gettin beat by anyone left in 3 or 4.

Well, the La Porte Bulldogs may not be running with the big dogs but they are definetly not staying on the porch. They haven't made it this far since 1993 when Chris Anderson was roaming the secondary and playing a pretty solid wide receiving position.

Hopefully they play up to their potential against Cy-Falls and beyond it in their match up against Katy (if they make it that far).

This statement doesn't hold water. Everybody is fired up and foaming at the mouth when they play SV. They are used to it.

As the SLC poster said, If you look at the first two games of the playoffs then SLC wins. Hmmm, seems that the most dominant team in the first two games is Katy. Doesnt take competition into account or strength of district or anything else. Just two competitive teams who got into the playoffs. But, this Katy team hasnt been challenged by anybody yet and they played a couple of fairly good teams but no powerhouses. I would really like to see Katy challenged and the 1's play more than a half or a little into the 3rd quarter. If you havent seen this Katy team, then you are in for a very big surprise. Even the Katy fans are a little taken aback by this version of the Tigers. This is the school record passing team in a program of running teams I know but even Rob Peters (1994 and TT fame) didnt light em up like this. D hasnt been run over yet either (scored or led to 27+ pts in the last game) but this O is really fun to watch. Got a real focus on SV and I'll tell you now SV that a game with you is probably more important to Katy than a rematch with SLC. We already handled that business if you understand the meaning of their ONLY loss in 5A I think. Katy hopes SV wins out in R4. We kind of went to sleep in the SV game in San Marcos but this one is on our turf!

SV current enrollment is 2148, which is on the small end of 5A. I can't find the exact cutpoint for the current 4A/5A cutoff, but it's probably around 1800. I'm guessing at least 500-600 will be lost to the new school. If so, they'd be 4A, unless they petition to stay in 5A.

Schertz is dropping to 4a with their new high school, so I can't see where that wouldn't happen for SV.

How in the world do you not have Cove on that poll? We are 12-0. Lufkin has been struggling while we have been dominating better teams. We beat Abilene in a scrimage before the season started. I dont understand how people always think that both those teams are better than us just because we are Cove. We have beaten better teams than both those guys. Just because we are little *** Copperas Cove doesnt mean those teams are assumed better than us. That is alright though I like being the underdog.
