I think Trinity will handle Franklin ok, but their spread offense concerns me as the spread has given Trinity problems. This is an article from the San Angelo Standard Times describing their program prior to their game last week....

El Paso Franklin returned nine starters from last year's 10-2 team, including Alex Torres, an all-state wide receiver last year who now quarterbacks the team's spread offense.

Torres, whom Grijalva called ''the catalyst of the team,'' has run for 671 yards and 13 touchdowns on 90 carries, while throwing for 1,379 yards on 89-of-165 passing with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions.

The team's top rusher and receiver is Blake Juarez-Downer, who has run for 1,201 yards and 14 touchdowns on 140 carries, while hauling in 24 passes for 445 yards and three more touchdowns.

''Their quarterback and running back are very dangerous,'' Bellard said. ''Their quarterback just kind of runs around and makes plays. He's an athlete, and they spread the ball and do things.

''Then, they'll just line up and run straight downhill at you, which we haven't seen in awhile, so that'll be another challenge.''

Grijalva said the team's defense is led by linebackers Jared Dunwoody and Andrew Silverthorn. Dunwoody has tallied 96 tackles, one sack and an interception. Silverthorn has 72 tackles, three sacks and an interception. Defensive lineman Christian Gutierrez leads the team with seven sacks.

you will have no problem with Franklin, just like we shouldnt have. our boys went to midland and played for 12 minutes, that along with one of our worst coached games all season, we lost. if your boys are in the game, you will walk all over them, good luck, hope you guys rip them up

They are putting up those stats against weaker teams though. Basically you are going to see what Mac/Bell brought you only slower.

Bhs seems to be on every thread about this, really all they need to do is stop Torres and Juarez-Downer, that right there is thier offense. Defensively you just have to pound them, not many teams have done that to them so they are not used to that type of football
