It's the El Paso/Valley mentality and I love it. We aren't as good as you are and we're going to risk playing in your joint to maybe get an upset in our joint.

If you watch the locations, the El Paso and Valley teams try to get home games instead of usually meeting in the middle at a neutral site.

That's almost true. I'm one of the few who even TALKS about El Paso (good and bad).

Somebody got upset with me last year for saying Edward Britton didn't deserve 1st team All-State at RB and I think that guy was from El Paso. I hope you guys win this week even though I fired you 2 months ago! :D That's just me wanting the underdog to win. I always like going to El Paso in spite of the long drive. I had a few good one-liners for El Paso in the You're Fired Region 1 thread.

Hey, I can't help it. If you travel all over the state, you start to like all the teams. You can't help but be fans of teams like Turkey Valley, Aspermont, Hamlin, or White Deer. PSJA is still playing and it makes me think about how they've added seats in the end zone and the place looks like a NASCAR track.

What is wrong with wanting a game played at home or a neutral site? Every coach/team/fan should want a home game. Consider teams especially from El Paso moving on to the third round, although this seldom happens, if they play a team from the Dallas area it is a 700 mile trip. A trip to a neutral site can cut this in half. No brainer here Lonny.

Is the 7:30 start confirmed? I have seen conflicting information. This site and the UIL site says 7:30. However, Coach Jordan's message on www.garlandowls.com says 6:00. You would think the coach has the correct start time, wouldn't you? His message also says Garland will be visitors.

Has the Berkner-A&M Cons location and time been confirmed? I've seen both Texas Stadium and College Station. No info on Berkner's school website. They have a horrible website with no valuable information at all and nothing on the RISD website.

now the Dawg web site has changed the time to 6 PM. I guess show up early and "gater" till they let us in. "DAWGS have tail"GATERS" also"

Texas Football. com will be broadcasting 6 games on the internet . I know Trinity-Franklin are one. Don't know the others.:D
